There isnt many reasons to be cheerful, ever since we were knocked out of the uefa cup.

I think some players have been found wanting, especially the midfield, and I hope Ramos makes the decisions to improve us for next season.

A lot of the average players will go I reckon.

And then when next season turns out to be a disappointment we'll be able to say "oh its ok, the players need time to gel, wait til next season, then we'll really mean business".

I just thought those days were finally behind us.
This season has seriously dented our progress and there's no denying it.

there is less to be positive about right now than my other side Slough who are quite possibly being relegated to the 5th tier of non league having been a big conference side no more than about 10 years ago

Seeing as how the season just ended I don't much see why one should be anything but happy. This season has been really fragmented (for better or worse) and I'm looking forward to the next one.

I'm quite happy with summer, the european championship (granted I'm not english), silly season, Bale returning to action, I'm happy with Modric even though 16? million is a heavy load to carry and I am happy that the club keeps showing ambition.

lets face it, before the Cup final we looked pretty special, and whatever else is said our only motivation in the league at that point was to get in the Uefa cup, once we won the carling cup we did mentally (maybe subconsciously ) finish our season, we rallied for one or two more games but apart from that it was going through the motions.

It was also said by Juande (maybe wrongly) shortly after the cup final that he already knew what all his players could do and would not learn anymore in the final games.

We will have Bale (who up until his Injury was our best player) hopefully from the start of the season. and i hold out a lot of hope that Ledley will play a major part in next season's campaign.

I am sure we will offload some dead wood including people that are no good for team spirit/moral  and i am sure we will make some sound aquisitions over the next 2 months.

plus we are already favourites in the without big 4 market for next season, and bookies are never wrong

We have our first full season (including pre-season) to look forward to with Ramos in charge, for him to show us what he can really do. :)
