Spurs and West Ham flop Sergey Rebrov signs for Arsenal!
By Ashley Gray
He was an £11million flop for Tottenham Hotspur - but 35-year-old Sergey Rebrov has a chance to redeem his career at Arsenal.
Make that Ukrainian Premier League club FC Arsenal Kiev.
And with a sentiment that may surprise both Spurs and West Ham United fans, he insists he will be missed by his latest club, Russian champions Rubin Kazan.
Not-so-hot-Spur: Sergey Rebrov celebrates a rare goal for Tottenham
'My contract with Rubin has been terminated at my asking,' he said. 'But I don't think they're enthusiastic about it. I think (the manager) Gurban Berdiyew wanted me to stay.
'I wanted to be closer to home, to my family. I've already talked to the Arsenal coach Alexander Zavarovym and I don't think there will be any problems there.'
