The thing that worries me about this rumour is the fact that some bookies aren't taking bets on him anymore

If it were just a bookie scam to make a few quid, it certainly wouldn't make sense to suspend betting

It wouldnt be a bookie scam, its a form of market manipulation. You back something then spread rumours to get the price right down and then lay it, making easy money.

Bookies would suspend betting when there is something like this doing the rounds and they could get taken for a ride. Exactly the same thing happened with Benitez at the start of the season.
