Were the cries during the Man City game from the Shelf. 'Rednapp for England' too. Yes only a handful but a lot of idiots on here were calling for his head too.

Just look at our team. Watch them play. Watch them run and run and run. Bale, Parker, Kaboul, Walker and Defoe all ran themselves into the ground for us and for him.

Some of you lot should be ashamed of yourselves. Harry has made us the real deal. The best manager we have had since Venables.

the quality of the players has something to do with it. Im not a "fire Harry" guy, but he should be winning with this squad.

Harry is media whore and is preparing himself for the England job. Wouldn't mind him moving on as it's getting embarrassing now.

he has done a good job, but its not like he is working with a squad the level of everton or newcastle.

our selection of players are only slightly inferior to united's for me

Whatever it is, it's working.

And I would suggest not to change anything until it stops working.

Although his tactics are a bit lacking, I can deal with having ol' Media Whore Redknapp as long as we're winning.

Can't argue with the recent form, he made a great sub today bringing vdv off we were getting raped down the right flank until modric and then corluka came on... Great result...

North London is ours, North London is ours....

But a mistake playing 4-4-2 so we were outnumbered in midfield the whole game?

Today was far last impressive than Liverpool and the first half of Wigan, but still a nice controlled performance.

The big issue with Redknapp though of course is he'll be missing training to spend 6 weeks in a court room in Southwark this autumn. And depending how that goes, possibly a lot longer in Pentonville.

It really fucks me off when people bitch and moan about him talking to the press, what actual harm does it do to us?

We made fourth for the first time ever under Harry, we won away at Anfield for the first time in over a decade and away at Arsenal for the first time in PL history under Harry.

We came fifth (our joint highest ever PL finish aside from the fourth HARRY had already achieved) under Harry and we had our first ever glorious CL run beating both Milan sides (one of which were the current champions of Europe) and Weder Bremen under Harry and although unsuccessful we played a glamour match against Real MAdrid in a CL quarter final UNDER HARRY.

Its like the foolish posts and comments we saw on here after we lost to Man U and then MAn City with Predictions of 3 points from 8 games and cries for Harry to be sacked I just don't get it, we have since amassed 12 points from the next four games making it 12 in 6 and beaten two of our direct rivals.

People need to realise that the grass is not always greener, and be more careful what they wish for when they call for Harry to be replaced because unless your in your mid 30s I doubt you have ever seen as good a time at Spurs (I know I haven't) you'd surely have to go back as far as the early 80's til 87 to see us winning cups and flying high in the league...I certainly know there has never been anything close to the time.

I remember seeing us beat Arsenal maybe 4 times in the 20 years I'd been supporting Spurs before Harry took charge and once against Chelsea and all of these had been distant memories by the time Harry was appointed. since Harry has been in Charge we have beaten Arsenal 3 times and been involved in 2 dramatic high scoring come from behind draws with at least 2 victories over Chelsea and a win at Anfield for the first time probably since Klinsmann's first spell at the club.

Harry has delieverd what has been EASILY the best period I have ever witnessed as a Spurs fan and I am loving it. If he goes fair play to him and good luck for him, but it is beyond me why any spurs fan would wish this especially is their main gripe is the fact he is less than tight lipped with the press.

Harry will make millions from the film....probably playing himself in the leading role!

They might have controlled possession in midfield and even had a spell after they scored where they looked like running away with the game but over the whole 90mins we were always the more dangerous team and created by far the best chances and with some better finishing of some pretty clear cut chances we could just as easily have beaten them by 3 clear goals.

I don't think Harry got it tactially wrong and more importantly his subs changed and won the match. Sandro played a key role in us scoring the winner and he shored up the middle of the park which knocked the fight out of Arsenal.

We beat Arsenal and moved 5 points clear of them with a game in hand......but obviously Wenger won the tactical battle hands down today

Bizarre, we were 1-0 up and comfortable with a 4-4-2?

We had a bad spell in the 2nd half but that happens sometimes.

Pretty sick of everyone getting on Redknapp's back, rather embarrassingly, 12 points from the 6 games we just had to play is a fantastic result

I wanted Harry out after the 5-1. Starting the season with 2 big defeats hurt like hell, even considering the opposition. We had about 3 months with no football at the Lane and overdosing on Harry in the media. I make no apologies for the scales being tipped against him as far as I was concerned. Football is about opinions and it emotions can get the better of you. But as far as I'm concerned still, the results can do Harry's talking for him until the inevitable happens and he gets the job he truly wants more than any other.

Harry is good. Or at least above average.

Imo people's opinions on the match just gone tell you a lot. If you think that was as good a performance as we could have got out of the squad available then you think Redknapp's the bollocks, if you don't then you have doubts about him.

I think he'll play himself but as an older version, reminiscing.
His son Danny Dyer, ... er, I mean Jamie Catflap will play him as a younger man (have these two ever been seen in the same room?)

Agreed. After all if we followed the logic of some people, Avram Grant is one of the premierships greatest managers.

Some of you lot should be ashamed of yourselves. Harry has made us the real deal. The best manager we have had since Venables.

Nonsense. Anyone who wanted Redknapp out because of the first two games is an idiot. As I said at the start of the season if you're going to judge him do it on his entire reign, not because we lost to the mancs or because we beat the Arse. However there have been question marks for years and a few bad results doesn't mean that those concerns are suddenly unjustified and a few good ones doesn't mean they're unreasonable.

I fully expect us to finish top 4 this season. With these players it shouldn't be hard. My belief is with a better manager we could get a lot more out of these players. Not enough to win the title but they're good enough to be comfortably 3rd. If we sneaked 4th people would be hailing Redknapps genius, not wondering why we made it look so hard.

People have been saying this sort of thing for years. We "should have been qualifying for Europe" under Francis / Gross / Graham / Hoddle. Then, when BMJ finally got us into Europe, everyone (Daniel Leavy included, it seems) said he should be getting us into the Champions League with the wonderful players he had.

You only have to look at what happened with Juande Ramos to see how poorly the same squad of players can do with the wrong manager. Harry came in and finally we made it.

So, given that Santini, Jol, Ramos and Redknapp all had basically the same resources to work with, why is it that Redknapp is the only one who got us to that level? Perhaps it's a bit harder than it looks to build a top four team and simply "having the players", as if they just rock up at Harry's door and volunteer to play for him, is not enough.

I'd rep this but I have to spread it. Quite simply, Redknapp can't win. If we'd had Arsenal's possession and they'd had the chances we created Dan Ashcroft would claim there is no use in possession if you don't threaten the goal.

Harry is our best manager since Burkinshaw. Statistically and factually. He does have a good squad. Yes. However he strengthened it considerably with 3 new first team players signed for a collective value of 5 Million and still he gets no credit.

You do realise that for the first time in living memory, started the nld as bookies favourites. That's a measure of how far harry has brought us. it fcuks me right off that some people here are still wanking over bmj instead of supporting our best manager I've ever seen at spurs.
