Rennes departure envisaged for Joe Rodon this winter

The adventure could end sooner than expected. Recruited on loan this summer, Joe Rodon arrived from Tottenham on August 1 , for an entire season. The loan accompanied by a purchase option could however now come to an end in January.

I'd assumed that the main reason for the loan to Rennes was simply so that he could get some game time in before the World Cup. Since that's no longer an issue, it makes sense for both Joe and Spurs to take a more considered view of his career options.

If it was a season long loan, I'd assume this development is Rennes sending him back. Thought he was doing OK there though.
