Assuming that all goes well tonight in the reserve game at Fulham I reckon we may well see Leds within 2 weeks, perhaps even on the bench for Sunday.
To even get to reserve team football he must now be fully healed from his op, as must be Rocha and dervite, and so it is not that much of a jump to playing in the first team.
He will be short of fitness but he will also have been working at that for probably 6-8 weeks. So again, he should not be that far away from playing.
Another interesting question is whether he will be treated differently from Rocha. Normally, after being out for long periods you will need to play a couple of reserve games before you play for the first team but given our current plight will Rocha be risked sooner than Leds?
If they are fit, they will play. We are so desperate for defenders that I just can't see what other choice we have, besides which, there is very little point in "protecting" them because they will have to play at some point so why not now?
He's been in full training for the last 2-3 weeks. Plus Ledders is natually fit.You only get match fit by playing games. Expect him back within the next 2 weeks. Maybe a sub against City this sunday.
all being well he will travel on thursday with the squad
he will make the bench on sunday
start against portsmouth away
fingers crossed, jol always said that he was naturally fit, so as soon as he was ready too play for the ressies he is almost certain to be in contention for the first team!
With the obvious interest of King being included tonight, i was wondering - anyone know where we can see/hear/read live coverage of the reserves?
I've never really thought about it before, settling with the news i read on here and the official site, but with little else to do this evening and not enough notes to make it even to the end of the road, let alone to the game, anyone know of anywhere they do even maybe regular typed commentary on the game or, dare i ask, an audio stream?
A huge risk before new years? Behave! If he's fit enough to play competitive matches that's that. If his consultant is happy for him to train fully and play then an extra few weeks wont make the blindest bit of difference.
