I've been advocating his signing since the start of the window.

We need more genuine match winners and I don't buy the argument that he's a lazy, luxury player who simply couldn't work with Poch. Sissoko was supposed to be lazy and he hasn't been that in a Spurs shirt ( just a poor footballer unfortunately). I don't think many would have envisioned Eriksen pressing as well as he does when Poch first arrived either.

As for the rather have a fit Lamela argument, I shouldn't be surprised really. I love his commitment and he has some good qualities, but it seems the longer he's injured his cult status grows even stronger( although I didn't think that possible). We did quite well without him, but I suspect if we were signing Messi there would be some worried about Lamela's place in the squad.

Mahrez simply represents something we don't have in the squad. A match winning player, who can beat players at pace, with composure in the final third. And he's done it in the PL so not a risk that he won't adapt to the league.

Very true. I honestly wish we'd spent the Sissoko money on Wilf Zaha, instead of antagonising Palace with that completely insulting £12M bid. Poch would make Zaha into a world beater imo.

Sissoko is crap and GKN is an unknown quantity who has shown glimpses.

He also plays a lot of quick balls in behind defences for the main striker to get on to. I don't think Harry has the pace for that. I wouldn't be against signing him tho, he just seems very similar to Lamela. Who also has bad hair.

I'm only messing. I'm sure everyone is frustrated to a degree. We've cleared a lot of shit out and haven't replaced. But then there are the kids, but then it's a risk, but how will they improve if they don't play? Arrrgggghhhh.

I think the uncertainty and contradiction is what is most frustrating. At least twice now we've been told to expect a signing in the next couple of days...only for that to pass without incident.

We scouted the u21's extensively by the sound of it and we've got people here, there and everywhere so I'm sure something is happening, but like a lot of people, I'm an inpatient bastard
