If he wanted to be there he would be. He wanted out. He fucked up and luckily he can put it right.

If I remember rightly before the end of last season there were rumors going around that Ramos did not rate Keane and wanted him out!!! For the life of me I cant remember were I read it, maybe someone on here can back me up. So in away you cant blame him for leaving if that was the case at the time especially as his boy hood club came calling. He must hold our club close to his heart to even want to come back being in the situation we are in and I am glad he’s back.

One thing that is bothering me is I don’t believe this is the last of this transfer deal (call me paranoid if you want) by that I mean the way Liverpool let him go was to easy I think there may well be another deal in the pipe line in a way of a certain Mr Lennon going in the summer to them I hope I am wrong but I just have that feeling about it or am i going completely :duh:

Don't kid yourselfs. We know a few things for certain:

1) Keane doens't want to leave Liverpool, but Rafa forced him out
2) We are short of quality upfront. Keane has a track record with us, and knows us.
3) We are rich. Liverpool is full of debt.

In the end it's just business and we happen to be the best suitors.

Frankly i doubt Keane cares very much where he plays. It makes no difference to mercenaries. They do their day jobs, like we do ours, and care very little about anything else.

Reality check.

You've just contradicted yourself.

You start the post saying "Keane doesn't want to leave Liverpool", then end it stating that you "doubt Keane cares very much where he plays".

Yes. He'd probably rather be playing for Man Yoo or maybe Barca maybe even Milan. But he's not, he's playing for Spurs. It's about time you got your head round it...

He's a lying turncoat and we should have move sense than to welcome him back with open arms.

Yeah fucking liar lets string the fucker up and cut his balls off and and and and then maybe grow up and get some perspective and support him while he wears the shirt.....

I hope he scores a hatful over the next few years.

But he doesn't deserve this sentimental bullshit. He's a good player and he deserves our support, but he doesn't deserve any welcome home's. WHL is not his home, we're not his team, we're just the side he plays for. Fair enough, but don't kid yourselves that he's a yid, he was, maybe one day he will be again but he has to earn it. In the meantime, he's just another good player who happens to play for Spurs.

fair point but he did give us 6 years loyal service when i never saw him give less than 100%

how many players can we say that about

Excuse me for expressing an opinion. May I suggest you calm down and learn some manners.

What's the fuss about? Keane's a great player who may keep us up.

Who cares he left. He's back now and we need him. It shouldn't matter where he's been, what matters is that we all get behind him when he plays for us.

If Keane had laughed at us publicly when he left, or if he'd verbally twatted us, or if he went on strike, or if he stuck his fingers up at the crowd on his last game etc etc, then i might understand any animosity towards him. As it turns out, he didn't do any of those things. So what that he said he was happy and wanted to be here for life, he never knew his boyhood team who happened to be playing CL football were gonna come in for him. 6 years - 100+ goals, you won't find that hardly anywhere else.

As it turns out, i wasn't too keen on him returning for footballing reasons only. But now we've got him, i'm quite excited and i have absolutely no problem at all with what he's done.

Keane to score the winner against Arsenal...?

And excuse me for expressing mine but i'm perfectly calm and well mannered. Your attitude is juvenile and the vitriol towards Keane is unnecessary and unjustified.

He genuinely loved it at Spurs and when he said that he'd stay till the end he meant it, BUT the dream move came up that he NEVER thought would arise and UNDERSTANDABLY aged 28, a move to his boyhood club was too good to turn down. A bigger club, who win major trophies regularly, who compete every year in the CL, who challenge for the league and who pay bigger wages.
Can't you imagine doing the same if you were in a similar situation at somewhere like Boro or Wigan and Spurs came in for you? Can you understand what that chance might be like and how you would feel if you turned it down? Is this scenario so hard for you to understand and appreciate?

IF you don't rate him as a player then you're just wrong. But if you don't rate him because he went to Liverpool, then you're just plain daft and, I say again, you need to grow up and get some perspective.

I do and so do a lot of supporters who value a little thing called dignity. Ring any bells?

In your calm and well mannered state you seem to have forgotten the meaning of 'opinion'.

You have resorted to personal and petty attacks ("juvenile", "daft", "grow up") and for this reason I will endeavour to avoid entering into debate with someone quite clearly out of their depth.

Lol, come off it eyes calling you daft, or saying your attitude is juvenile (and lets face it you're not covering yourself in glory now) is hardly very personal is it?

Ok, in the spirit of debate and ignoring your 'out of your depth' remark, I apologise for my petty comments and take them back. Now how about you respond to the points I made re Keane and his reasons for leaving...

My apologies if I was a little heated with my response. I think perhaps it may be best if we agree to disagree on this one. :)

That's a good point... I don't know how anyone else felt about that but Keano's back home.. My first feelings was that why the fuck we bought him back, but after that I opened my photo album and realised that it wasn't about I don't want him back, it was about I was angry about him leaving us at the first place.

But after I handled my hard feelings and started to think about those good days and what he have done for us, I really got tears to my eyes. And after that I realised that he's just not one of the players, he start to be a Tottenham Icon and if you don't think that way, then jus look at next picture.

I get where you're coming from here, but isn't this all part of the romance? Maybe it's just me, but stories like this are kind of special, and I am a sentimental fool. Years of service, over 100 goals, a dramatic departure after seeming totally comitted, followed by a swift and equally dramatic return makes him a bit special.
