HOW... HOW does he get into the first team WEEK after WEEK of vacuous performances? We have a good striker in Pav on the bench who probably could have done more today, despite the brief cameo.

Just how? Why is everybody so biased to this guy? He has been poor since he came crawling back from Liverpool (who he shamelessly ditched us for in the first place, might I add) and his dick goes straight back into our fans mouths...

Robbie Keane is the shell of what he used to be. He is now almost thirty, he's definitely peaked. Time to get rid or at LEAST bench. Even if its for a couple of games.

I have to say that, even as a staunch supporter of Keane, I too am beginning to question his ability to play for us. When he got those four goals against Burnley, I thought that perhaps he'd start to bang them in again, but there's just something missing at the moment. Maybe a spell on the bench is needed to let him get his head sorted.

I think so. His best form ever for us came after a spell when he struggled to get starts and was behind Defoe, perhaps he only performs well under pressure. At the moment it seems he will start regardless, if Defoe is fit then they both play, even if Crouch plays Keane still gets a left wing spot. Seemingly being guaranteed a start has took the fire out of his belly.

the whole team play like shit.
what we need is modric.

Well, yes, that's true, we do need Modric. However, we're talking specifically about Keane's overall form, rather than the form of the team since Modric has been injured.

He is extremely frustrating lately:

1. His first touch is very poor. Disgraceful infact.
2. When someone gets the ball near him he flaps his arms like he is trying to fly. If he gets the ball he either passes it straight back to the same play or makes a pass offering no improvement. He just can't dictate play like a captain should.
3. Never, ever plays to the whistle. Come on, this is schoolboy stuff Robbie. The ref ain' going to give you anything ust because you're sitting on your arse, shouting and flapping your arms.

I'm not anti-Keane by any means but he needs to raise his game sharpish. Maybe a spell on the bench would do it.

Never a bad day to have a dig at Keane. We saw today the standard he's meant to be achieving - RVP - and he's nothing like that.

Plenty of other solid players were exceptionally poor and that seems attributable to the management of the team. Too much fear for Arsenal, when they looked limited.

Keane's performances and cowardice are a disgrace to the Tottenham shirt.

How can anybody captain a Spurs side against our mortal enemy in such a cowardly, gutless way?

This is Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, one of the greatest football clubs in this country and the world who has had captains like, Blanchflower, Mackay, Mullery, Perryman, Roberts, Mabbutt and King amongst others. Players that would have run through brick walls for this great football club, real leaders, real men and real players. Robbie Keane led our team out against Arsenal today and he wouldn't even have risked breaking a finger nail for the cause.

It breaks my heart to see a person such as this captaining Tottenham Hotspur, frightened of his own shadow.

I wish to God I would never have to witness this individual in a Spurs shirt again, he's not worthy of it. Even if you aren't a good player or aren't playing well then try, try your fucking hardest, leave everything out there, sweat blood and tears for the cause, put your body on the line for it and demand the same from others! Understand what playing for Tottenham means and understand what playing for Tottenham against Arsenal means!

Keane is not worthy of following in the illustrious names that have captained Tottenham Hotspur.
