Didn't sign Dele Alli but did sign Joe Allen.
Yes but you have to remember his determination "not to do a Tottenham" when he sold Suarez. He didn't, so instead of signing Alli he instead signed Yesil, Ilori, Aspas, Alberto and Mignolet for a total of about 32m. So it's unfair to go on about the 15m he wasted on Allen or the 25m on Lallana. Bet Liverpool fans are glad he didn't waste money on Alli.

What a load of guff. Even if he did meet with him, it was hardly a difficult deal to do was it. He simply says, the deal just didn't get done. What the hell does that even mean?

Reality is that they weren't sure about him and so didn't pull the trigger. We did. As @Rocksuperstar has said, it's so easy to sit there now after having been sacked, knowing the player has turned out to be brilliant and say oh yeah, I nearly signed that kid first.

Fuck off Rodgers. Such an arrogant little, teeny, tiny man.
Liverpool were sniffing around long before we were interested.
From what I hear they weren't prepared to pay the money and this was a couple of years ago.

Rodgers is such a mug end of !!
The disrespect for Rodgers on here is ridiculous. Under him, Liverpool played some of the most exciting, breakneck attacking football the premier league has ever seen. They were a Gerrard slip away from wrestling the title away from the rich clubs who currently monopolise it. If poch ever leaves, I'd have Rodgers at Spurs in a heartbeat.

A lot of that had to do with one Mr Luis Suarez, who might have played for us had it not been for an unqualified opinion. Their defence was dreadful and the reason they lost that Chelsea match was due to Suarez's idiotic tactics. The Palace match was another exercise in tactical stupidity.

They were very much a 1 man team that season & once they lost Suarez he got found out if he was as good as you think he is he would of signed another quality striker and got somewhere near the heights of that seasons achievement instead all he done was whinge about loosing him! He was out of his depth there IMO and that was also clearly the opinion of the Liverpool board

Yeah..close until that freak clown über gimp had two hour alone in a hotel room with Alli. No wonder the poor kid has an aggressive streak.

Well for me this is more proof that Alli will get to the top.
He made a great decision when it mattered and avoided where others would have been blinded.
Nobody knows what would have happened if he had chosen Brenda as his boss - but I suspect Alli is happy he didn't

"the rich clubs"... what the fuck are liverpool then? The have a higher wage bill than us every single season and "historically" have a very large fanbase worldwide, as well as being a part of Sky's big 5 (previously big 4 before man shitty came along).

and you can say what you want, but every man and his dog knows that Suarez was the sole reason they had such a good season...

In that season you talk of it is true to say that one man delivered the goods, and it wasn't that fucking smug faced prick Rogers.

Haha ok then.

Rodgers is a fraud. I've seen nothing to show me that he's a better manager than Poch so I'd personally be disgusted if he ever ended up at Spurs. That Liverpool scored a LOT of goals but couldn't defend for toffee and that is what killed them in the end.

If you like him that's up to you but I will never ever rate him as a boss or respect him as a person.
