The 21-year-old winger, nicknamed Droopy, is making a name for himself in the Argentinian league, with some excellent displays from the wing. His form this season has earned himself a reputation as the next best winger to come out of Argentina.
Spurs are closely following the situation, as the Mirror suggests that the North London club could make a move for Gomez in the summer in a bid to beat other competition from Europe.
However, some Spurs fans will be wary of a move for the tricky wide player, following the unsuccessful signing of Erik Lamela this season. The Argentine internaitonal, who is strongly being linked with a move to Inter Milan in the summer despite being in his first season in England, has barely made an impression on the Premier League following his record breaking move to White Hart Lane from Roma.
A combination of injuries and competition for places has limited Lamela to just three Premier League starts and this is not good enough for a man who cost over £30 million.
Thus, Gomez's potential move to Spurs may be considered a little more carefully

This guy is pure class!

Brought him on FM2014 in my 2nd season for £2.9m after 6 months Real Madrid came in with a £25m bid, i swiftly rejected it.

He battles Lennon for the right wing role.... after 3rd season (his first full season) Madrid came back in with a £40m offer, I still rejected it. my coaches tell me he is on course to becoming a 5 star player.

if FM has told me anything it's that we need this guy.

Him & Lamela could be the dream....

I thought Ossie might have had a view on this lad, only seen the you tube clips which can make anyone look a star, seems to have good pace, energy and loves to get forward but who knows what he's like consistently

He's a small atacking mid, very quick and skilful, and a hard worker. He plays for a small team in Argentina (Argentinos Jrs), the best academy along with River, from which players like Maradona, Riquelme, Sorin, Cambiasso came through.

He started playing for the first team last year. Not much of a goal threat, but looks like a quick learner and will def improve that.

His problem imo, is his size. He's 5'6

His nickname is Droopy, because he appears everywhere

Not ready for a top europe league imo
