Go back and read what he wrote and the way in which it was posted. Perhaps the word lie is strong, I could amend it if you like, but considering the fake news update from JJ there really isn't alot to it, is there?

Not everything you read on the internet is true.
You lifted that quote from Mark Twain, didn't you?

I've just read in BBC Sport foot ball gossip that Ross Barkley wants £150,000 a week and Everton want £50m. As far as I am concerned, they both can get stuffed.

Yes, like everyone else, I yearn for silverware. Of course, I too would love some bragging rights over the the fans of Utd, City and Chelsea who have got right up my nose over the past 10 years. But I don't want our beloved Spurs sinking to their level of having to buy success. But I have something they cannot claim - a real sense of pride in our achievements. We have stuck to our principles and achieved the best side in the EPL with an intelligent buying policy, creating the best academy in the Country for turning youngsters into very good footballers and Mr Levy and MP showing outstanding management skills. Any idiot can buy success but to do what we have done in the past two seasons is outstandingly brilliant. Yes I am bursting with pride with THFC which, If the supporters of Utd, City and Chelsea trying claiming the same it just proves they are morons.

Anything on Everton forums about Barkley?

Not much.... but one on Sissoko

Our best bit of business last summer was missing out on him. I celebrated Spurs signing him.

That was one of the most surreal moments supporting Everton.

Bidding £30m and desperately hoping Spurs gazumped us.
Unless we where just trying to get Tottenham to lash £30m+ in the bin, I still cannot get my head around why we would have wanted that horrid waste of space anywhere near our club. My Newcastle supporting mate absolutely despised him. Poisonous, lazy balloon of a player.

Sorry, what? I'm a lie and so was my info? What part of what I said was a lie? I haven't done anything to deserve personal abuse.
Personal abuse?

You may have passed on the info and I have stated that lie is a strong word and would amend but you went to lengths to defend it when people challenged you on it, the report has been since quashed (the figures implyed) as fake news.

I can remove the word lie if you like and replace it with a more suitable one if you want?

Still, fake news is fake news.

FFS, give it a rest. You've stated your point. Let it go.

Who is saying it's fake news?

EDIT: Right, I've just seen the Liverpool Echo story (interesting given the Mirror and the Echo are owned by the same company)

Ah but they won't get to make a profit on him this year.
