They might use him because he is good though.
I misread the question actually.

Even if he plays the Europa League, pretty sure he's not cup tied for our champions league games. I remember that was a talking point when we were heavily linked with Suarez 7 years ago.

Reports on BBC this morning suggesting Rooney is on his way back to Everton. If true then this must surely impact on Berkley's position there.

Everton are starting to assemble a team now if true.

seen some crazy wage figures thrown around, if they are true I don't think he is worth it.

It's like if we brought Klinsmann back as a player tomorrow. It would be neat, and would sell some shirts, but the legs are long gone.

It might even turn Barkley's head if Rooney was an idol of his when he 1st started following Everton and make him want to sign a new contract

Everton are defo gonna have to shift a few.If Rooney does happen .With klaasen signing they could prob now let Barkley go and feel they are covered in that area, does make it easier.

I thought he wouldn't be Cup tied only if Everton were knocked out. Otherwise if we dropped in to the comp from the group stage he'd have played for 2 teams in the same comp.

Thinking we may see some movement on this one once Rooney signs. Him and Klaassen surely cover Barkley's position off. Maybe a deal can be done around the £30m region. Still not overly sure but seems that's who Poch wants...

There's such a buzz around Everton right now I think their fans will shrug the Barkley sale off easily, which has to be a good thing for them.

Signing Rooney is going backwards. Rooney for Barkley makes no sense. Am not sure even Klassen is that good. While they make all these signings, none of them can come close to our first team

Not our 1st team but they're a damn sight more than our projected bench based on our current injuries. Everton on are still a decent team and were doing well prior to losing 2-3 players to long term injuries in quick succession.
