Everton have apparently just upped their offer for siggy to 45m so maybe could improve our chances of speeding up the barkley deal.surely they cant keep them all.

Jim White: so whiny he makes tinnitus sound like MotzartI've got tinnitus and it's bliss compared to Jim White talking his usual shite.
Got a certain ring to it.....I've got tinnitus and it's bliss compared to Jim White talking his usual shite.

It is but it isn't. It's over the top but you'd expect that seeing as they're selling to another prem team and he still had a few years on his contract.
In this market, Gylfi's set piece delivery alone is worth £30m. He'll probably get 3 or so free kick goals and at least 7 assists from corners/free kicks and that's a conservative guess imo. To Swansea the contribution he makes to those 10 goals could be the difference between staying up or not.
It is a lot of money but it just keeps getting more mental every year so in a sense it's normal. I must admit, though, If I was a Swansea fan I'd be looking at £40m as a minimum, tbh.

Swansea City have rejected Everton's second bid for Gylfi Sigurdsson. They believe it was £40m in total. They want £50m
I hope Everton don't give in to Swansea's demands. Paying that amount for Siggy will fuck it for everyone. Any 7.5/10 player will suddenly be worth 50 mil and that's not going to be good for anyone.
He's a very good player for sure but yes, it's indicative of the way that the market has gone mental. I guess that its similar to the housing bubble in London: house prices are mental in terms of what you get but people are prepared to pay the money. It is but it isn't.
