It's 'hole'.

And I'm not digging one. Just giving my opinion on this transfer. Surprised so many fellow fans are giving me stick for having an opinion. Yesterday it was widely reported to be a grade three tear. Today Everton are saying he needs another scan. Barkley also is recovering from a hernia operation and missed pre-season training. I merely suggested Levy might not want to pay £30m for a player who might not be fully fit until Nov/Dec who would be available for £15m in Jan. Think I'll stop posting on here until after the window has closed.

You keep saying 'widely reported'.

You're wrong though, there's been no such thing as this was never confirmed.

This is not giving you stick, but you keep saying this like it was common knowledge or something, hence the digging hole (lol) remark.

Not sure if i need to post screen shots for you (I'm not going to btw!) but it was widely reported yesterday this was the case. I just googled it and still got loads of results back ... not sure why you are questioning this. I know Everton are saying more scans are needed, but 24 hours ago at least two dozen news / sports web sites were reporting a grade three tear. They may have been speculating but this was what was being reported.

Tell me - when do you think Barkley will be fully fit? September? October? November?

I've no idea because nothing has been confirmed yet. Futile and pointless guessing game.

My condolences to the Barkley family at this sad time. It's moments like this when we all need to appreciate how lucky we are. I'm going to spend a lot more quality time with my own hamstrings from now on.
if only we had the time to organise a hamstring donation drive. We could have saved him. It all happened so fast :(

I think it was the Daily Mail who said it was a grade 3 year. However, often in the past newspapers have speculated an injury severity before knowing the full facts. It has happened so many times with our players.

Can't see one saying that, let alone a whole load of them.

They might be in a weaker position but you keep digging that whole lol

Big difference between reported and confirmed. All I am saying is that before this afternoon (when Koeman said further scans were required) it was widely reported that Barkley had suffered a grade 3 tear. To reiterate - I know this is not confirmed - I was just saying it was widely reported to be the case. If you can be bothered to search back in this thread you'll see other posters also mentioning this at the time. And although I said I wouldn't, here are screen shots showing a variety of sites widely reporting a grade three tear between 12 and 24 hours ago. I've only captured the first two pages as I think that makes the point, but feel free to use a search engine yourself if you still think I am telling fibs.

do we have a plan B? paying 25 million for a guy that might not be available to mid October doesnt make me giddy.

These papers churn out contradictory transfer related bollox on a daily basis without any sources ever cited or confirmation from the club or anyone involved. No idea how anyone could put any value into it.
