£20m + £8m in add ons seems very fair..within our price range and rumors that he'd accept 75k a week with us. Anybody else think this could be done fairly straight forward considering as @Trix said, we are very far down the road with Barkley?

This would be buy of the window if we could pull this off. Considering what 20m gets you these days. I personally would be well over the moon if this is the price we pay.

What's the hurry? Levy loves to save two months pay by signing players on August 31 rather than July 1. I expect this to go to the last day, if not January.
Because I want us to sign him and there's only a couple weeks left to do it (y)

I suspect that if we don't sign him fairly sharpish, then BNP FC will. I'll be very surprised if Barkley's on EFC's payroll beyond the end of this window.

A few weeks ago, one or two people on here said that £30m-ish would be likely, which I felt would be reasonable. All things considered, the price you quote is fair enough, and potentially extremely good business for us and the Toffees.

some Everton fans' responses after the City draw

A game set up for Ross that last night. We needed him and what he offers to see that game off.
No punch from this midfield; no ball carriers apart from Rooney who doesn't have the pace and C-L who doesn't have the ability to slalom. A crying shame this lad is moving on.
Spot on my mate said that next to me last night.
A big miss for us last night
As it stands he's far better in this league than Klassen and as such I sort of miss him now. Klassen will be given time to improve and rightly so but we could've used Ross against City.

Funny that all summer a lot of them were saying he was shit and wouldn't be missed, now they're like:

So, if the all the above come off we would sign:

GK Gazzaniga
LB/LW Sessegnon
CB Sanchez
CB Foyth
RB Aurier
CM/AM Barkley

While that's 6 players, so we shouldn't complain, I do think we are missing a wing forward.
You forgot Sancho...

Yeah they've not come out and given any solid timescale have they, or have I missed it?

Nothing official as far as I know.

Really want this done. It's all very well signing defensive players, but I'm getting a little twitchy that we haven't signed any attacking players with just over a week to go.

I am of the opinion that we'd have got this done with a bit more urgency had he not had his operation, still will be done but we have been able to concentrate on other deals without losing out on him playing for us.

Has it been confirmed he has had an operation. Or do you mean the hernia/groin op he had earlier?
