He won't walk into our starting 11 but he'll still get plenty of game time this season.

We've got Ryan on the left,
Marcus on the right.
It makes no difference who we play,
we'll make them all look shite.

could get 10 years outta that classic:LOL:

Ryan Sessegnon, Davinson Sanchez and Juan Foyth are three of the most exciting young defensive talents in the world right now.

Tottenham signing them all in the space of a week would be a huge statement of intent.

It's like Levy has popped the financial takeover option in FIFA and now he's going nuts signing all the best youngsters.

at this rate I'll have no-one to sign at the start of FIFA18.

I don't think any of these potential signings walk into our starting 11, but they do put pressure on those starting & in a years time when they properly bedded in etc. they could well push their way into the team.

Possibly, but the great thing about Poch is that if he thinks you're ready, you'll get your chances

Everyone knows he has a twin brother who also plays for Fulham right?

Steven, also plays full back but CB and CM as well. Only made 1 or 2 apps for Fulham so far in the cups.

As said many times before, he looks quality for his age.

It's the recruitment of these types of players, which is crucial for our success. We can't compete with the insane amounts of money that the very biggest clubs are throwing about, but we do have the financial power to sign and develop the best up and coming players.

Obviously I want to keep all our best players, but if the likes of PSG and Barca are going to be bidding £150 - £200m for Kane, Eriksen, Alli, it's going to be hard to turn that sort of money down.

By using those transfer fees to buy 4 or 5 Ryan Sessegnon's, it'll ensure that Spurs have a constant conveyor-belt of talent at the club for the forseeable future.

And if we don't end up selling our best players to Barca or PSG, all the better!

Great news JJ.

I wonder what the chances are of another club coming in last minute? Wasn't Mourinho trying everything in his powers?

Is this really happening or just hearsay? Find it hard to believe seeing we could have signed him a month back, when he was still on a youth contract, at a fraction of this price. Just seems really odd to me.

I'm fully aware that he may have wanted guarantees of playing time but what's changed in a month unless Rose is 100% leaving? If it's a loan back signing then surely we could have done that a month back as well.

Maybe he signed his pro deal to protect his brother, and demand he got one too?

£25m isn't crazy money for a player of his potential in this market. How much do you think we'd be paying for an 18-year-old Bale at this point? It wouldn't be £5m plus add-ons that's for sure

All depends on the true fee too. Delve past the headlines and most papers are reporting Sanchez as £26m with possible add ons up to £40m. Maybe this is similar and starting around the £15m mark. All speculation though...

May have been mentioned maybe im making it up that RS wanted Fulham to get a fee?

I know some have concerns having to rely on a 17-year old in the CL should we be thinking of selling Rose, so I did a little digging on youngsters who have appeared in the CL at a young age.

Everybody remembers Rooney's debut at 18 - although you could say he had a season of playing time with Everton beforehand.
Mbappe made his debut at aged 18 with a few sub appearances in the group stages, he was then completely trusted from the knock out stages becoming their most valuable player.

Celestine Babayaro made his debut at left back aged 16 with Anderlecht, he did get sent off unfortunately so probably not a good example. However he did attract much interest from his appearances.
Youri Tielemans made his debut for Anderlecht at 16 too and coped admirably by all accounts.

From what I have seen of Sessegnon he is very good with his positioning, very confident moving forward and I have seen him hold off more experienced pros despite his size. I'm not saying he will be assured from the off but I do think that if he has been trusted at the age of 16 to hold down the left back/left wing slot in a very physical and demanding league then that tells you something. The lad isn't phased.

Ultimately, it will come down to Poch and our coaches judgement on whether we do sell Rose and trust him.
