On this one, we could and should of had him. We were in pole position. That is more than an opinion. Certain things have to change. I do not buy the deliberately leaked PR BS, on what our true acquisition ambitions are. Actions ALWAYS speak louder than words.
Thoroughly depressing news. If we've pissed him around and missed out then shame on us.

Gutted personally

he probably wants to play regularly and he is still very young, he'll only be 20 in 3 years time so has made the right decision in my opinion

Meltdown. Rejected (apparently) twice already this summer...

Shame. Looks a real talent but hopefully he continues his progression and we get him next year

The key to this will be the official announcement. If its a big fanfare (as youd expect) with quotes from the boy then Id say its a footballing decision. If not, then I'd say it was purely economical and a move would still be in the offing

Let's be honest here, he would have been third choice LB for us if he signed this summer.
He'd have been third choice at pretty much any PL side.
It's not just us he has snubbed by staying put, he's snubbed Liverpool & United as well.

In my opinion he's done the right thing. Stay and develop his game by playing regularly, rather than move, earn more money, but only play 3/4 games in domestic cup competitions.

What are we doing if we can't even get these kind of signings over the line?

1,Best team in the league
2, in the CL
3, New stadium and dawn around the corner
4, Great manager
5, Great working environment and team spirit
6, proven record of bringing young players through

Our record with high fee signings is absolute shite so this should be our bread and butter.

Who says we even went close to balls to the wall to try and sign him?!?
If he got wind that he would be behind Rose & Davies for the season, then he's right to choose to stay put.
At Fulham he'll get regular games, whereas if he joined a PL side now, good as he is, he's not going to be starting regularly.
Yes, he'd get a good footballing education from Poch, but Jokanovic is no slouch either.

You are very wrong, and entitled to dissagree with me. He will end up as left side of midfield, and not wing back, or left back long term.
