There's definitely some money in that lot. You'd think Onomah, Edwards and CCV would be at least 8m each. Maybe more if home grown value comes through.

Onomah - £10m
CCV - £10m
Edwards - £5m + a 20% sell on clause.

All in all I think that's pretty fair with how much homegrown youngsters are going for these days.

Edwards will fetch more than you'd think. People took a chance on Ravel Morrison they will on him. I'd use Prich as a guideline for these. Similar situation of not making it in the first team but having something about him.

I’m pretty Rose looked to be on his way out when Poch came in and we signed Davies, with many expecting him to be first choice.

Rose then improved massively.

He was first choice season before Poch having come back from Sunderland but didn’t have the greatest season with us and remember lots of people on here criticising him (shocker! ????).

Well he deserved criticism because he would usually storm up the field, lose the ball and hardly even bother to jog back. That's what was pissing people off at that time. I think mentally he still wanted to be a winger at that time and was not happy being a left back.

When his work rate started to improve so did his performances and the critcism silenced.

exactly. so take out lo celso and ndombele of the equation. they were not reliant on sales. ❤️

Depends on the price of lo celso. But we were always looking at recovering some money from fringe players.

Re recent discussions on one of our players going to Fulham on loan in return; I think Oliver Skipp would be ideal and it could be a situation that would suit all parties, particularly being reunited with Scott Parker. In the Championship he could perhaps replace Seri, who has recently moved. Parker would be the ideal central midfield mentor.

Of course, Scott Parker would have a great knowledge of our youth players and could, within reason, probably take his pick. Fulham could provide the perfect platform to ‘farm out’ some of our younger players, similarly to what Lampard did at Derby for Chelsea.

I had a feeling itd be Onomah but I do agree, although Skipp is part of the first team mould i'd trust parker with him and 50 games under his belt before he hits 20 would be fantastic.

He’s a right midfielder so doubt it’s linked.

Ivan Cavaleiro is a right winger that can play on both sides as well and he joined Fulham last week.

Knockaert is a left footed right winger I think. I'd be hugely surprised if Fulham are singing two wingers on loan and it not having anything in relation to a Sessegnon move.

Personally I had hoped we’d see more going out than coming in this summer. Lower number of incomings but higher calibre, and make up the gaps with the academy/development players.
I still don’t see Sessegnon as Rose’s replacement, I think he’ll be aswell as, or at least I hope, maybe with Davies gradually moving to LCB, Sessegnon to LB. With Rose also in situ, there’s less pressure to make it happen instantly.
We had times last year where with Rose or Davies out we had to move Jan to LB which weakens is centrally. Alternatively we used Walker-Peters who lacked the confidence to use his left foot and that blunted us on the left.
Davies, Sessegnon and Rose or another option looks far stronger, as Davies can play centrally and Sessegnon can play higher up the pitch, so not too overloaded.

Kid has a lot of ability. He’s 19, his final ball is quality even if he doesn’t have the dynamite physical skills of bale or the defensive qualities of Vertonghen.

People forget how young he is and the team he played in last year. We lost every game we played when bale was his age, we even thought it was a curse.

If we are talking Danny Rose as the baseline he is way better at what he does than Danny was when he came in just needs time to adapt.

There’s very little about Sessegnon that is ‘blatantly a winger’. Whilst quick, he’s hardly rapid, and isn’t going to beat a man with a piece of trickery either.

What attributes he does have lend themselves well to either attacking midfield (spatial awareness, game intelligence and positioning) or the modern full back (neat touch, ability to get up and down and crossing ability). Whilst he has played more in attacking positions at senior level (although it’s still only about 60-40), long-term he should definitely be moulded into a left back. It’s undoubtedly the position where he has the highest peak, and there aren’t many managers out there better suited to develop him into the role than Pochettino.
Us grabbing Clarke (who often played as a LW) from Leeds makes me think that we don't see Sessegnon as a winger. Because Poch likes small squads, it would be odd to purchase two players within a similar age group and of the same position.

Really? Or is that because it’s the cards he’s been dealt.

Really ?

You may be correct but when I YouTubed him there were only clips of him playing on the right...

Whilst I agree with you on Sessegnon, I think it would be suicide to have a smaller first team squad. We were overstretched last season with the size (and make up) we had, and there’s no limit on the number of U21s that can be registered, meaning Poch lacked confidence in using the ones we had.
