He is a target I would be interested in, as he seems to have a very good understanding with Kane in the u21s. They complement each other quite nicely.

I don't get the fuss about this lad, decent finisher but just plays of the shoulder and seems very easy to mark out of games now that teams are working him out. Maybe I'm beeing harsh on him as I'd like us to buy a ready made striker but I think we've got enough promise and potential in the squad. Him being English will also mean he will cost much more than he's actually worth.

Not for me Clive.

I like the idea of getting a young forward but personally I would prefer a player that has more skill on the ball, would love us to look at Berardi, Dybala, Mitrovic.

I think Dybala would be easiest to sign considering he's playing for struggling Palermo. Plus he's Argentinian, only 21 and in good goal scoring form.

And i think he has all the skills to become a beast of a forward, he's fast, very skilful, can create chances for himself out of nothing and isn't afraid of a hard tackle. He is a little slight but i think thats mostly down to his age. He would probably cost a lot tho, Palermo know they have a player on their hands and will charge a arm and a leg for him probably.

I will be pissed if we don't get a stiker in January though, as for once there are 4 credible PL targets available to us:

Berahino, J-Rod, Benteke & Bony

All of which should cost under £20m.

We don't need striker who plays off the shoulder because he won't have the space to operate in our possession-based side.

Ever since he was quoted as saying he would move to a bigger club he's not done particularly well and has stopped scoring......

You might get Jrod for under £20m but you won't get the others........dreamland!!!

Combining well with Kane at U21 level isn't really that big a recommendation. There's a big step up in the quality and especially the strength of premiership defenders compared to U21 internationals.

To me, Berahino is just Defoe Mk II. A player who fills his boots against poor defences and never scores against the good ones. It's a trap and I hope we don't fall into it. No thanks (n).

I really don't get the Defoe comparisons. He has scored against United and Liverpool as well as against West Ham.
I didn't see Defoe head many goals, I did not see Defoe play so many key passes and I do see Berahino on the last man's shoulder and NOT offside. He was cruelly deprived of a free run on goal in his last game.
I am watching him whenever I can and I like him a lot.
