Different types of players in my opinion. Parker does a lot of the work that Sandro does but what he does also provide is the tempo, a speed of game that we should be playing at. Sandro is a monster when it comes to destroying the opposition game and even bursting forward, but he does not dictate any of the pace of the game - he is the No.2 beside the person to do this. I was a Carrick fan, because he also provided a tempo and was good enough to be the dictator of this. As is Parker.

Dembele? A great player also, but once again the sort of person to control the whole pace of the game? - probably not. What type of player do we need and how then do we fit them into a system? Is Moutinho it?

My favourite one yesterday was:

"Kyle Walker...Kyle Walker...Kyle Walker...Kyle Walker"

To the tune of the 500 miles by the Proclaimers.

'Your just a French Jimmy Saville' made me laugh!

Thought exactly the same when I left the ground, I know they haven't got much to shout loudly about at the moment, but as a newly promoted club you need to support your players as much as possible. Compare them to the likes of Hull and Blackpool who came up the other year and it really is quite poor.

If I'm the one who fills out the 1st team sheet, Sandro will always come in ahead of Parker.

I like parker ... but, I didn't realise there was a debate. Parker fits around Sandro, not the other way. Parker can't justify the hump either, Sandro has been immense and he's the future. He's more than welcome to question why he delayed surgery though.... only himself to blame on that one.

Parker great but limited PL player slightly over the hill, Sandro potential to grow into World Class player in his position, if he continues on his current trajectory will be the best DM in the prem...all IMHO

Interesting thing I've just read....

Sandro is in the squad for the Brazil game against Colombia on 14th Nov in New Jersey. We're playing on the 11th away to City and the 17th away to the gooners. Follow those two with Lazio away midweek (22nd) and then Spammers at home then Liverpool at home midweek. That's one little run of matches for our monster.

This is sounding like too much?

How about:

"Sandro, Saaaaaaandro, Tottenham Hotspur's Brazilian Yiddo!" Sung to the tune of the banana boat song:

"Day-o, Daaaaaaay-o,
Daylight come and me wan' go home"

Which in case people don't know the tune I mean, was also the tune to the Trio advert back in the 80's:

"Trio, Triiiiiiiio,
Chocolatey biscuit and a toffee taste too!!"

Sandro ball winner.

Parker ball winner, leader, keeper of the ball when required, calming influence, available for a pass, puts others in on goal, brave, non stop running.

Parker is available for a pass, only when he plays one two's with kaboul and gallas just outside our D. This is also the reason why he has a high pass conversion rate. His stats only look that way because of his inability to play the way he isn't facing, his actual "tempo setting" is because he cannot play the quick pass and move FORWARD football that a lot of other players can. Sandro wins the ball and carries it forward and also passes it to his CM partners. I watched Parker burst past modric numerous times last season for him to completely run it out of play or play a through ball out of play under no pressure. Parker also plays the ball back to the person who passed it too him; whilst at times this can be good sometimes the player has passed it to him because he was under pressure.

Sandro is the better ball winner, which is the primary attribute of the player in that position. So Parker as back up to Sandro, but I'm baised.

Parker will in no way help with our tempo.

Slow to spot a pass (or to decide which pass to make) unless it is first time back to whom it's come from.

We should really be pulling Sandro out of the squad for that. No way does he need to play in a friendly half way around the world with two massive games three days either side.
