Scouting, 10yr old boy

I mentor a 10yr old boy in my spare time for a children's charity. He's pretty good with the ball, quite direct rather than showy skills, plays centre forward, for his school and every weekend for a junior-league team, he is very fast and scores a lot of goals.
We (his mother and I) are going to see if we can get him a trial at a London club (he lives in Chelsea). He's had a few offers to go to open trails before but his single mother has been unable to take him because of the other children and it was before I was involved with the family.
Having looked into it, it seems that most clubs allow you to send request letters/forms (Chelsea, Fulham, QPR) but Spurs don't provide any such info on their website, they simply say that they rely on their scout network. Same goes for Watford.
So yeah, I just wanted to see if any SC members (or scout ITK!) can advise on if there's a way for Spurs scouts to come see the boy play or if it's a waste of time? Maybe some of you have tried this in the past with your own kids, or know people connected to the youth couching set up.

Cheers
Jay

Because my 2 sons (7yrs and 5yrs) are members I regularly receive emails regarding that age group and one thing that may be of use to you is something going on in the Summer holidays called the 'Summer roadshow'.

We're from suffolk and one I recently received contained this bit of info that may be of interest:

These Roadshows feature Spurs Football Development and Academy Development coaches, delivering the latest in technical and skill-based drills.

Players from the age of 5 to 15 are invited to come along and enjoy this experience, and the Club's scouting network will be in place at every venue.

Therefore, if you contact the club and ask for info on a 'Summer roadshow' in and around your area, hopefully you'll get some useful info! (y)

Make sure you aquire his future image rights first, you say he's 10 so you might be able to get them for a fun size mars bar.

If he hasn't made it by now he's pretty much stuffed, he should have knuckled down when he was six instead of pissing it up the wall spending his time pissing up walls as high as he could.

haha that is the first thing every bloke asks me. answer - no. would I? - no. tempted? - no. if she was better looking? - no comment.

is she fat - so what they try harder
is she thin - bend her over
if shes ugly - dont look at the clock as you poke the fire
if she has a smelly vag, youre bang out of luck then

It's obviously a pure football thing, if you want to bang a single Mum all you have to do is arrange a babysitter.

Nah mate, that happens once in a blue moon. Just accept it, your kid squandered his gift, you should try and get him doing some coaching badges, that way he can stop the youngsters from making the same mistakes he did.
maybe, but you never know...if he gets a trial i'll come back to you and we can wager on whether he'll ever make the EPL. could be fun.
