Daniel Levy is a genius. If he gets as much money as United or Chelsea or any of the other big clubs, then I'm all for the two sponsors. He knows exactly what he's doing, always got a trick up his sleeve. Best chairman in the Premiership.

I dont, if this is the best way to get more money then i am all for this! and i bet other teams will start doing the exact same in the next few seasons

its likely that they will all try it, doesn't mean i like it, next we'll be trying to get separate sponsors for the shorts

Already lined up. The shorts will be sponsored by the band 'Frontbum':

http://frontbum.co.uk/?page_id=11

The front of the shorts will carry the first part of their name, and the rear will carry the rest.

Not only is this a lucrative sponsorship for the Club, but it will greatly assist the thicker players in putting their shorts on the right way round.
It is also hoped that instead of referring to an unpopular player as a 'kunt' we will roar 'frontbum' from the terraces, further increasing exposure for the band.

Our Mr. Levy, the trendsetter. This guy might be the Jerry Jones of the premier league. It is unbelievable how stable we are financially despite the lack of the huge cash windfalls from the CL.

For those of you don't know who Jerry Jones is....He is the owner of the Dallas Cowboys. In the 90's he completely redefined how an owner could turn a professional sports team into a hugely successful business entity. He did this by getting creative in how a team could earn revenue. For instance, he sold the rights to serve beverages in his stadium to Pepsi (huge deal!). Now every team sells their rights for various things at a huge premium.

I can see Levy having a similar impact on the premier league.

In this instance, the first one!

No, good buddy, I was making a joke...a play on words (or, more appropriately, abbreviations)

Basically, I most definitely am not in the Jenas haters camp...might make more sense if you go further back in the thread, before you get it...he FCUKed my post.

looks like we will find out soon.

I know i've been away for a while and will hopefully get a decent update in the next couple of days. for now though - sponsor for cup competitions was sealed on saturday morning. will be announced on tuesday morning and worn in switzerland, so there will be no sponsor-less shirt on sale im afraid! i was not told who it is, 'sensitive' information apparently.

Just been having a read of the SAIC wiki page and i notice this:

The parent of SAIC[3] Motor Corp is investing until 2011 $930 million to develop and manufacture clean energy vehicles. One-third of the investment will go to research and development of green cars and the rest is to be invested in green technology vehicle and component manufacturing. SAIC will launch its hybrid Roewe sedans in 2010 and electric cars by 2012. It will outsource green cars batteries to BYD Co.
So, there you go - one reason the company will be pushing for some widespread advertising, and there's few bigger or more worldwide than the shirt of a team on the verge of qualifying for the biggest domestic cup competition in the world, and it would be a good tie in for us, being associated with green, environmentally aware, international companies like this.

I would feel a little bad though, as pollution could be cleared up tons in the Seven Sisters area, if only this type of car manufacturer had gotten involved with the Woolwich and developed a car that ran on "smug".

edit: on further reading, i had a gander at BYD Co. and found they are primarily a battery manufacturer but a company investigating the possibility of electric powered cars (tie in with SAIC's plans).

As of 2009, BYD exports cars to Africa, South America and the Middle East.[1] Plans exist to enter the European and Israeli markets,

A presence in europe would suit both BYDs interests and SAIC's pocket in the long run, i don't doubt.

I need a Poirot moustache...

So was the claim of having seen the shirt from some ITK and it was to be SAIC/MG a wind up then? Can't be arsed to trawl back through this thread and see who it was...

It was the same guy. Said he had seen the mock up (could have just been a computer mock up)

He said that SAIC were talking to 4 other clubs as well so not done.
