I did it at Villa two years ago... 2-1 loss.

Went f****** mental when Defoe scored, started screaming "its all gone quiet over there" and the works with my mates.

We all had a laugh really.

Its not green street, just enjoy it and try not to be as stupid as I was!

Depends where you are, who you are, etc...

If you're some massive skinhead covered in Spurs tattoos and your sat in with the 'hardcore' (insert your own joke here) United fans, you might have a problem... but as long as you're sensible, should be fine...

Kind of on topic ... Does anyone notice that quite a few Utd fans seem to get in at the Lane among Spurs fans? The past 3 seasons(and beyond) I've been to Spurs-Utd and every time some mancs have been thrown out. Never happened with any other clubs we've played.

Maybe they're just a bit ..um .. thick?

I did it at Villa once, had my Spurs shirt under a top, kept fairly quiet as i was in the Holt End (i think, the one behind the goal, i can never remember stand names).

Thankfully, Mr Pleat ensured i had no reason to shout, cheer or applaud. I stood up when we won a corner, that was it.

You'll be alright, just enjoy it.

I sat with my mates one of whom is a Gooner at the Spurs Arsenal semi final at Old Trafford. Funny thing was there was about a dozen of us scattered around the area and I was sat with Vinny (the gooner) and some bloke we slightly know from our old local spotted us and come over and shouted "Vinny what you doing in here? you're a fucking gooner!"

Everybody started staring at us and then me and a couple of mates started singing "Vinny is a gooner" whilst pointing at him. Everybodys reaction around us was brilliant and ended up with the whole area chanting "Vinny is a gooner" whilst he stood on the seat bowing.

I did it in the home end of Elland Road when I was in school and our head of 6th form gave me a free ticket knowing I was a Spurs fan. Was when Hoddle was manager and we drew 2-2, didn't enjoy it too much but I was there in my own, would have felt much more comfortable accompanied by a Leeds fan.

If I were you I'd definitley go.

I sat in the home end at Fulham last year. When Gomes let the goal in. It was unbearable.

Im off to old trafford with the mrs (a pretend united fan due to her stepdad) as she bought tickets out of the blue. I'll be in the united end but have no problems with it as long as i dont start screaming when we get our ninth...

if they do manage to score, everyone else will be cheering around me so just stand up and u will blend in, doesnt mean u have to sing united songs or anything.

Yeah, when Villa scored no so long as you stand up in time with the rest of the fans then no-one notices you're just clapping and grimacing instead of cheering

Go for it mate, never done it myself but you won't have any trouble - the worst you'll get is someone throwing a prawn sandwich at you.

I did go to the Arsenal - Celtic (Eduardo dive game) this season and had my little Spurs badge firmly clasped in my hand all game. Got my phone out at half time and forgot my phone background was 5-1 related

Think the guy next to me saw.

I do it quite a lot as it's often easier and cheaper to get home tickets, esp. at bottom half clubs' grounds. Particularly if you go in a side strand, rather than the home end, you'll always find a lot of other closet yids in there. Because most home counties kids go to university in the north, you'll always find a lot of yid students and students who have stayed on in the cities at places like Manchester, Sheffield and Leeds in the home stands.

If you don't bring trouble, you are very unlikely to find it. Apart from the other London clubs, we are far from disliked. There's also more varied conversations at half time - I like talking to other clubs fans' about what they think of our side.

I've done it quite a lot, but then I am a girl. I find sitting on my hands help! I almost had the opportunity to sit in a box at Old Trafford on Tuesday but unfortunately my mum's work won't allow non-employees

I stood with the home fans at Maine Road every time Spurs came up while I was at uni in Manchester. Got funny looks as soon as they heard my southern accent and didn't celebrate too hard when we scored, but didn't really feel threatened.

Do it!
