Genuinely believe his comments are to unrail us as a squad to cause damage, knowing that he won't be here
It would make him look better if the guy who was here next season did worse than him with our unbalanced destabilized squad. I'm also still convinced he's a gooner spy. You can never be such a massive goon fan and wholeheartedly manage spurs.

You're right about Vertonghen to be honest, it's just a fairly unpopular thing to do to criticise him and I think I got a bit blinkered.
Don't be afraid mate - think the masses are slowly realising he hasn't been putting in Beckenbauer performances for quite a while!

Dawson rightly gets criticised but Verts has had his share of stinkers all right but having said that, he's still our most talented defender and one can only hope a new regime will reignite the classy defender and what's more, his desire to stay and fight for the cause.

Come on mate, Vertonghen has had a bad month, body language is awful. Has got away with a lot since the start of season.

Paulinho...? £18m...? Absolute garbage.

Well I firstly don't think Paulinho has been garbage at all, and has been decent whilst playing in midfield two's and when being asked to support a central striker. Whereas he should have been playing as part of a midfield three and being given the licence to really fulfil the box-to-box role.

In terms of Vertonghen, I totally agree he has looked pissed off, but if you consider the shite teams Sherwood has put out at times I would be f**ked off too. That is not to excuse poor performances, but really the whole team have been dire so I feel it is wrong to single him out. I have however pointed out since last season that the guy makes as many mistakes as Dawson.

I want him gone now. It's scaring the living daylights out of me that he might possibly be in charge for the start of next season and we line up with a midfield three of Livermore - Bentaleb - Carroll.

I still believe in this squad under a winner like LVG - and want to see it added to, not ripped up by some embarrassment.

Him throwing the ball at Sagna today, clenching his fists ready to smack out the Benfica coach. It's pathetic.
Did you miss the coat throwing bit? That was very classy:rolleyes:

Ohh sherwood hurry up n fcuk offf clown !!! We must not forget this guy has no tactic no motivation skills no clue on what is needed to actually win a game! Sherwood wud offer same team tactics nx season, he can use his tactics on young players but full pros n international players? He out of depth n lacks know how! Maybe spurs ladies cud benefit from his style.

I wouldn't risk getting De Boer, he could be like another AVB IMO

We need experience
I would agree that the next appointment needs to be as 'safe' as possible. I'm fed up with short term cocked up experiments. I'm not a Sherwood hater and I wasn't an AVB hater. I just want someone appointed who will last longer than a season or two.

According to an Arsenal fan I know, a team MUST score in order to have played well.

Retard.

Just got back from the game. Line up and subs wernt great but there's no logic in purely blaming Tim. Think we've got to realise some of our players are shit.

Please, please, PLEASE, stop posting comments that Sherwood has made. It scares me and I have to try to go to sleep at some time.

Sherwood is definitely not good enough. He's been trying to stamp his authority on the team without realising that he has to earn the right with good tactics and substitutions before he can start screaming and shouting at players who are effectively his peers. Truthfully, he is probably viewed as a 'has been' by the majority of the squad and in no way as a fully fledged manager and yet he is dropping or moving around players like Dembele, Paulinho, Sandro and Eriksen or at best making them accomodate... players like Bentaleb and Lennon. Why? Because we desperately need Bentaleb to play? No. Because Lennon has provided so many goal scoring opportunities. No. Because Tim wants to be seen as the manager who can link the U21s and first team squad more effectively than anyone else.

Bentaleb has done ok, but the fact is he is just ok. Lennon has no end product and any objective manager would quickly notice that. Siggy is about 10mph too slow and is at best a squad player for cups etc. and after starting bravely with 442 and seeing how well it worked (once he used a DM) we have suddenly reverted to 451 and left Soldado on the bench immediately after he finally scored. Madness. Paulinho has been poor and I can't see him getting faster, more agile or suddenly gaining a better first touch, so I'm hoping he is not our long term plan. Chiriches could work out, Chadli is useful back-up or right wing forward and Lamela could yet be really decent. Only Eriksen is really near top quality. Not a good season or summer transfer window. We're lucky Ade has had a change of heart.

We desperately need LVG.

Lennon has been at the club for a long time and has worked with a lot of managers though. If it's a question of objectivity then it must have been sorely lacking in all of them. The truth is that Lennon has never been consistent but has proved his worth on many occasions through the years. Maybe he has looked better when he's played with better teams. This is certainly one of the more average teams he has played with.

Tbh Tim is quite an embarrassment in the way he conducts himself on the touchline.

I'm all for passion and commitment, but he comports himself like a pub fighter.
I am a bit suprised that he is taking such a hammering in the newspapers.

Great quote from a piece in The Guardian...

"And for the final half hour Spurs battered Arsenal, albeit at a level of football where battering quite often loses out to fine-point incision and where – with Sherwood providing a non-stop display of air-taekwondo on the touchline – Spurs looked like a team very much in their manager's image."
