I haven't hid my complete destain for appointing Tim, its on the very first page lol

BUT we would look an even bigger clown outfit if we sack him with 6 games to go. Theres no point sacking him now.

To me, the players are in a no win situation.

They go out and disobey their managers orders, dropped... world cup plans potentially ruined.

Continue playing as they have been ordered to knowing its shit tactics... but still get to play...

It's a shit scenario, and it's clear as mud that the players don't give a flying hoot about the manager and his tactics, but theres only so much you can do without leadership.

Sooner its over, the better.

I'd take Doris the cleaner, or fucking Chirpy as our manager for the remainder of the season at the moment!

sorry to post in here again but i have to pull you up on another piece of misinformation,

Doris isnt the cleaner that is Ethel, Doris is the tea lady FFS

Quick survey:

If you WOULD LIKE Sherwood next season please rate this post

(Any rating, your choice. Just to get a ballpark figure. I'm not expecting to find any ratings here.)

Don't know if this lot has already been posted, I'm about to leave work so don't have time to check but here is some interesting stuff from Ali Z
Ali was asked about compensation

We'll not lose to Sunderland & there's only one reason he's still there: he's the caretaker. You don't sack the caretaker.

One request: who ever our new manager will be, get behind him and the team and sing your brains out! (Except if it's Tim...)

Don't agree. Our squad is strong enough to compete in both competitions it just needs to be managed properly.

Plus if we win the EL then we get entry into the CL. So there is a good incentive to do well in it.

Yeah IF we win it...

Have we ever been anywhere close to winning it?, we're a long way off.

What if its Les Ferdinand? (Yes unlikely i know) there is still a small possibility that the new head coach is someone totally underwhelming.

I'd rather see Andre back then Ferdinand as manager. If we hire Ferdinand as manager, we midas whale keep Sherwood(Fucking hell. Cant believe those words just came out of my mouth. Keep Sherwood? *shudders*)

Sorry dude, getting my folks muddled up!

But, to ask a more pertinent question, how are things on the inside, as messy as they seem from the out?

So should we not bother trying to get in the champions league because we've never been close to winning that?

European competition brings prestige top the club. It's only the so self-name "best league in the world" that we scoff at the Europa league. It is still highly rated by other countries and will help us keep players and even attract other players.

If the squad is managed properly I see no downside to being in the competition.

So the Europa League brings the same level of prestige, money, players, sponsors as the CL does it? How much money do you receive if you say... reach the quarters of the competition of both respective competitions?

I don't have a problem with Europa, I like the competition, but the truth is it interferes with our domestic campaign, playing Thursday then Sunday (effectively a two day rest) affects our domestic performance not to mention the added pressure of playing catch up with our rivals who have played on Saturday.

Since 2006, we've been in Europa..what 6 times...and haven't been further than the quarters, the simple fact is that we're not good enough to win it, people go on about winning the competition as if we have a right to and that we're capable when there's other teams there who have the experience and know how in lifting trophies...Juve/Benfica, shakhtar, Atletico etc...

I never said it has the same level but it gives the club more exposure than not being in it. Also, for a club with our stadium our size(the smallest stadium out of any of in the top 20 clubs in Europe) the extra revenues gleaned from being in the competition are important.

If we reach CL that could also affect our league form as we will have to play our strongest side just to compete. But i'm sure you wouldn't want us not to be in it?

As I've said, if a squad as big and as as talented ours is managed correctly then being in the Europa league shouldn't affect our league performance.

Well let's break this down, this season we made around €2.2m for reaching the quarter finals, that includes winning all our group stage games as well, not really that much is it...and exposure to what exactly? As far as sponsorship and putting the club out there our exposure comes from playing in the Premier League.

Again you're comparing the two competitions, why?

This has been done to death, playing in the CL gives your club a boost, mentally and physically. In regards to affecting league form well two things: firstly you always have a 3 day break in between matches as opposed to Europa where you only have 2, secondly: Europa League is a mental and physical drain on the players as in evidence of their performances.

Yeah I mean it sounds good, in an ideal world we'd compete and challenge for every competition but we don't live in an idea world, weighing up the pros and cons we're better off seeking a CL place by finishing in the top four spots, we've been much closer to doing that than winning the CL and if we want to win a trophy we have two domestic competitions that don't take 17, yes 17 games to win...playing far fewer on home soil not flying out to the nether regions of timbuktu.

I was just wondering which of these players from our talented squad...Friedel,Gomes,Naughton,Rose,Dawson,Livermore,Holtby,Soldado,Townsend,Lennon and Siggy.... should/could be playing for a Top 4 team in this league?

So Tim has now resorted to insulting Glenn Hoddle again. Complete lack of respect and class. Glenn was giving astute constructive criticism and Sherwood obviously is blind to it or can't take it.
