dunno if posted..
hertyid: Tim is not gone yet. All that has been agreed is there will be a sitdown in May where the last twelve months will be reviewed.

If he stays, he stays but I for one will be bitterly disappointed.

I have seen very little from a management point of view in the last 4 months that he has what it takes to takes manage this great club.

If he does stay I will finally question Levy's ability to take this club forward.

Just pointing out excluding debatable penalties comparing our goal scoring under AVB & Sherwood in Tim's las 3 matches against AVB's early season tenure:

AVB played 16 goals 12
Tim played 3 goals 11

For all the problems we have and there are plenty of them especially our defending which remains dire we have at least found the way to score goals again. In fact i think since Sherwood took over only Liverpool and City are really out scoring us. Our goalscoring record under Sherwood is actually excellent with 35 in 19 games. In the last 3 games we got 5 against Sunderland and considering this week that's starting to look pretty good, and then despite a couple of poor performances from Ade 3 at WBA when really we should have least have hit 5 again and another 3 yesterday when again we could have scored more.

The real positive for me is that this group of players has goals in it, add a fit Lamela in place of Lennon next season and we could score enough goals for a very good season.

The real negative is our defensive play is absolutely dire, both as a team and individually. Not enough protection, too high and players that aren't quite good enough is my personal assessment of why.

However the real plus for me is that it's far far easier to sort out defensive problems than it is to overcome weaknesses in offensive areas. Even just buying a couple of better CB's and a LB in the Summer will help massively, then small tinkerings with depth and protection and we could still have a really good team next season.

Feeling positive!

Blimey someone posted something positive in here! I don't know what you think you're doing round these parts with all that cheerfulness, but I for one was glad to see it. I know this makes me some kind of SC outcast, but I actually enjoy supporting my team, looking forward to games, cheering on the lads, hoping we win and all that old fashioned stuff. Thanks mate.

Is there room for King to be brought back in as a defensive coach?

I think you get a different perspective depending on who you talk to, hertyid is probably 100% right about the process and the official line.
I've spoken to two people at Spurs whose names would be known to many COYSERS and I am confident the end result will be he is gone.

Just waiting for Ali Z to chip in with something informative like "yes I've heard something similar".

Mods - what are the site rules about criticising ITK outside of the ITK forum? I've pretty much given up on the Transfer rumours section because of the reliability of most of the 'ITK' in there. Now it's spreading to other areas of the site.

You reckon it would stop media circus? Really??? I think it would start one with serious shit throwing around, it will all go down easier in the summer.
If we were to sack him we'd have to simultaneously announce a new, experienced manager.

Norwich City eye Tim Sherwood as manager, with outgoing Spurs boss keen on Carrow Road role

He should be sacked for his lack of PR skills alone. At least when other managers do it, they are undermining referees and other teams. Tickle Me Timbo continually undermines his own bloody team. If you wanna stamp your authority on the team, you do it in the dressing room and on the training ground, not in front of the camera. Management 101.

In total agreement with this. In fact sacking him now will help lift the mood. The danger is the current mood carries over into the new season, it does happen.

Today's results mean we are nailed on for 6th, I don't see the harm in Fruend/Parkes holding the reigns for the last 3 games. Clear out Sherwood and his cronies, start planning for next season.

Also Sherwood is going to be bitter about us so let him vent it all before the new man has come in. The media will have forgotten he was our manager by July
