Did it really end that badly with AVB? We were on course for a strong finish, despite the obvious 3 bad results which other teams have not been immune to by the way PLUS we were kicking ass in the cup competitions. The cup competitions also enabled effective squad rotation which ultimately impacts player morale and encourages a winning attitude. Of course, this was all taken away by Sherwood who oversaw our prompt departure in all three cups in spectacular fashion.
Parting with AVB and putting Sherwood in was a colossal mistake that will prove to cost us more than a top four place this season. Anybody can see that this was a grievous error in judgement on Levy's part!
Also, I don't by the whole players singing from the 'same hymn sheet' line either. Players weren't forced to come forward offering their support, yet they did. How many variations on the phrase 'we're behind the manager 100%' can there be? They're soccer players not Pulitzer winning writers!
I meant 'singing from the same hymn sheet' in regards to them all following the same tactical plan, compared to now, where the players seem to have no tactical plan at all and all play their own games.
