In a "friendly" a few years back, I have developed a deep dislike for our hooped friends from north of the border.

The Pseudo Irish thought they could turn up at WHL and take the piss.

I wish those who are going and the team all the best.....

On and off the pitch.

Until Saturday I am Spurs & Gers.

Well lol at you. I assume you know absolutely nothing about Rangers for you to support them.

Next you'll say that you're a Feyenoord fan to boot.

Yeah good comparison, as far as I am aware we have had no major scrapes against rangers.

They are the Chelsea of Scotland in more ways then one.

 I hope you are not basing your opinion from those hats in the 80s that had one team on one side and one on the other.

Nothing more than a loose connection between the two and a bit of rumour and hearsay about Chelsea boys rucking in rangers tops.

Chelsea boys used to run with reading sometimes too, no big deal.

Believe or not, I know otherwise.

This is the point where you could expand on that slightly for those of us who are too young/dont give a shit about Scottish football to know what you are talking about.

If you want

Nothing Rumbalow, I think there are other agendas at work when it comes to the General.

Someone lock this…

please dont i actually want to know whats going on here i get that rangers and celtic hate one another but why would spurs fans hate either without being a supporter of either? what history do we have with scottish teams that i dont know about?

but if anyone can enlighten me please can you do so without insulting either sides supporters.

edit: had a quick browse through google and i cant find anything at all i guess its just personal issues oh well hope these personal issues dont cause any problems today:-|

It's all about religion.

I don't hate either side, in fact Celtic were my preferred Scottish team out of the two when i was younger cos i liked green. They were the same colour as my bogies, except when my bogies were brown or red. But my bogies were never blue. Then i found myself obviously wanting Rangers to do well when Gazza was there.

I think my bro had a Spurs/Rangers hat when he was younger but that was only cos he couldn't afford anything else in the Spurs shop. It's easy to appreciate both teams when you're not Scottish or religious.

My other 'other country' teams and reasons are:

Scotland - St Johnstone - LIked the name when i was about 8
Spain - Madrid - Beckham/Zidane
Italy - AC - Maldini
Holland - Ajax - Yids
Croatia/Bosnia/Lithuania/Russia - Barking FC - Great togetherness.

Frankly, I couldn't give a shit about dumb-arse sectarian issues. If the thread's about our record against the Old Firm, it belongs here; if it's going to be a Rangers v. Celtic squabble it belongs in General Football.
