Sky is to increase the prices of its subscription TV packages from September 1.

The Entertainment Mix will go up by £1 per month, the new cost ranging from £17 to £22 depending on the number of mixes subscribed to.

Sports Mix will go up by £2, so that it varies in cost from £36 for those subscribing to only one mix to £40 for those with all six.

The price of the standalone Movies Mix will not change, but the price of the Sports and Movies Mixes combination will increase by £2.

The usual increase

Well at least it's not 30% like Setanta

Yeah I just switched over to sky sports, I was on setanta last season... apart from the odd hibs game there wasn't much other football to watch. The premiership coverage was a bit thin for my liking. Looking forward to a bit of HD now

Are you kidding? There were weekly games from Holland, France, Germany and Portugal in addition to the SPL and EPL.

I got Setanta as part of my Virgin package, so I'm assuming I won't be paying the extra (this may be foolish of me). For Sky games I go up the pub anyway.

I have Sky Sports but no movies.

I think I pay about £50 at the moment with multi-room & Sky+

Shame i cant live without Sky really. Considering i have Sky HD and the Sky World package and Sky multi-room plus Setanta (for UFC and some PL games) i'm gonna be pretty skint again this year.
