Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min has been confined to his room when not training after six of his South Korea team-mates tested positive for Covid-19 on international duty in Austria, officials have said.

Although Son, 28, tested negative, he and the rest of the squad have been told to stay in their hotel rooms in Vienna, unless they are training.

Get him out of there! the last thing we need is Son getting sick, or even not being sick but having to self isolate for a fortnight! :banghead:

This international break was the stupidest thing imaginable. Always thinking about short term money rather than the health of the players or the general spread of the virus. Absolutely ridiculous!

yes it is just getting ridiculous now, people can't hardly go outside anymore but they can let these players go to 2 or 3 difeerent countries in 10 days and meet up with other players from even more different countries just to play basically some stupid friendlies.
there is so much wrong in football lately from stupid penalties and VAR that i am really starting to not enjoy football anymore and not even bother to watch it. :banghead:

I’ve been saying it (and I know many others have as well) that International games are so stupid right now. The PL is going to be shutdown again soon all because of the International games.

Players need to stay in their club bubble. Go to training, go to matches then go home to their families. Just like other jobs, go to work then go home.

Traveling and meeting up with people from other countries is only going to lead to problems

Yep. Mickey Mouse tournament anyway. Just friendlies with a trophy slapped on. The ONLY internationals I want to see is the WC. Don't give a crap about the Euros. As you say, when people are not allowed to travel overseas, it's an absolute joke that something as irrelevant as football, just carries on traveling.
