Gotta admire the speed in which we moved on from Berahino and got the Son move going, especially as he's not the typical back-up plan we accuse Levy of going after when a main target falls through.
He's not necessarily back-up to Berahino...

I'm not so sure it's a Berahino back-up plan. More the replacement for Lamela.

Dont think it's related to the Berahino deal personally. I think it's more related to Lamela being sold.

I would have thought this has more to do with Lamela/Townsend/Lennon (or all three's) exits rather than Berahino shift?

Gonna put this out there guys ... do you want to form a Barbershop Quartet?

Think we're in balls deep for Berahino, it doesnt usually go as far as player handing in transfer request unless said player has had certain assurances. (just to add to my previous post)

All day I've had "Free Erik Lamela" to the tune of "Free Nelson Mandela" as an earworm.

If we manage to sell Lamela & replace him with Son, I'll be pleased with this window. Regardless of the Berehino situation

Would still like to keep Lamela but shift AT, AR, Moussa, Ade and bring in SB plus Son

The DM roles is a separate issue I think

He was previously heavily linked with us when we were looking for a Bale replacement.

Doesn't he predominately play off of the left and that's why we were previously looking at him?

I would of thought that's almost a certainty.

We still need a reliable source of goals if Kane gets injured, Berahino covers that eventuality and brings the necessary versatility to warrant getting both him and Son in.

-------------------Kane---------------------
---Martial----Eriksen---------Son-----

+ Njie, Pritchard, Chadli, Dembele, Andros would look pretty decent. But I would be totally shocked if we pull that one and a good CM out of the hat.

I'll raise your Berahino to a Martial. (I know, I know not going to happen). Son and Berahino would certainly give our attack much better balance and more movement....................But let's hold our horses yet.

It is always nice to see West Brom and Pulis in panic mode
