BREAKING NEWS: Bundesliga star undergoes medical ahead of €30million Spurs move
BY Joe Thomlinsonon Aug 26, 2015

Tottenham Hotspur have had a £22million offer accepted for Bayer Leverkusen forward Heung-Min Son, according to Sky Germany.

The South Korean midfielder will undergo a medical this afternoon and there will be an announcement within the next 48 hours.

Mauricio Pochettino has been desperate to add more attacking talent to take some of the weight off Harry Kane’s shoulders.

The 23-year-old is highly rated in Germany and will seemingly replace the departing Erik Lamela, who is on the verge of joining Inter Milan.

Spurs also remain interested in Saido Berahino and are expected to return this week with a second bid of around £25million.

This should be enough to tempt Tony Pulis into a sale after the young Englishman handed in a transfer request at the Hawthorns last week.

Pochettino believes that Kane and Berahino could be create a long standing partnership up top, with both also representing their country.

With Son joining, Berahino close to agreeing a deal and Lamela on the verge of being sold, the last week of the transfer window could be a busy one for Spurs fans.

Never heard of him, never watched him, haven't clicked on any of the videos but if we don't sign him levy out!!! Only joking of course! Would love it to be Kramer and son was the cabbage cryptic all along but didn't want this to get out too early! First headline from the papers when he scores on his debut - Get in there my son!

Must feel sorry for the social media guy. A few rumours of Son's medical and suddenly everything that @SpursOfficial post is just replies like ANNOUNCE SON

This is from Kicker...I think they might be repeating the other story but they're a reputed publication.

A few hours before the eminently important play-off second leg of their Champions League qualifier on Wednesday night against Lazio was announced that Heung-Min Son is at Bayer Leverkusen before the jump. The South Koreans is expected to move to Tottenham Hotspur. The attacker is currently in London to attend the compulsory medical tests. Son came in Summer 2013 from Hamburger SV, scoring 62 Bundesliga games since then in 21 goals for the Werkself.

Don't Leverkusen play in an intense pressing system as well?

Not quite as much. You may be thinking of Gladbach, who very much do. It was no coincidence we've been linked with several of their players as a result.

A bit of a shame that we couldnt shift Townsend and bring in Son, rather than Lamela in my opinion. Not that either of these transfers are definite.

If this is true. Korean players normally do well in the league.

I was also thinking about Lee young pyo the other day too ( i can't remember why). So it must be written in the stars. Or something.

If FIFA is to be believed Son is a pace whore who can be put at LF and then played at ST but not on full chemistry. Gets goals though

I am not so sure about this one and the ridicoulos price tag. He will struggle massively with the physical side of the Premier League, he even do in the Bundesliga. If it is Lamela out Son in I am up for it, if it is Son in and no Berahino/ goalscoring CF I am not.
