I've actually got a bit of time for the bloke. Always bigs Spurs up, and I loved the bit where Richard 'Gibbon' Keys was w*nking on about what it's like to manage a big club like Newcastle, and Souness just said "well I've managed Rangers, Benfica and Liverpool - all much bigger".

Yes he's a pants manager, but at least he doesn't toe the Sky line of "big four" and "Newcastle are massive, best fans in the world etc..."

Bit of a missleading title. Well i suppose it isn't, as he is on Super Sunday, but I thought you were going to say he's just said something shocking of controversial.

He had a bit of a rant about how Freddy Sheppard was a rubbish chairman, wouldn't back him when the tide turned etc. And that he wanted to sign Boa Morte and Anelka, but instead Sheppard purchased Owen and Luque.

And he was told that Luque would cost 2m, not 9m

He was the anaylist on one of our games last season and even back then he identified how shyte our defence was. He was a breath of fresh air to listen to as he said it as he saw it (and still does by the sound of his last invite in front of the camera).

Wouldn't mind Souness when Ramos leaves at the end of the season.....

Met him once at Heathrow. Nice bloke. We should never have let him leave.

I think most of us managed to do that, PT.

This is the man who openly admitted he didn't coach his players as top level professionals shouldn't need to be coached. Very true of the likes he played with at Liverpool, I guess, but time has moved on.

I'm sure he'll pop up somewhere before long. Probably Sunderland after they get relegated and Keano takes a job with a bigger team.

Henning Berg's autobiography is perfect on Souness - tears him apart. He was bloody entertaining on the Sunday though, I loved that pause after he told the big lie on Luque when he was staring Richard Keys out, daring him to laugh at him...
