Negredo is (if the Daily Mail are to be believed ) about to be involved in a rather ugly tussle between Man City and Valencia. It seems that an agreement in the initial loan deal included a "compulsory purchase clause" which would be activated as soon as Negredo made his first appearance for Valencia. Apparently Valencia are now having second thoughts, but Man City are not going to allow them to reneg on what was previously agreed. I guess if it's written in the contract that both clubs agreed, Valencia are now screwed?

That's quite a good suggestion you made, re Soldado/Negredo. Negredo scored pretty regularly for City, especially considering he was mainly a sub/bit-part player. 9 goals in 32 PL appearances, and 23 goals in 48 total appearances is far from shabby.
