This was a game where we just got stronger. Started off slowly in the 1st 20mins with sloppy passing & lethargic pressing, but we didn't really look back after that: we moved ourselves up the pitch and put the squeeze on Utd. The Reds really only had Martial's chance & that was it.

It was really pleasing to watch & we deserved the victory. Come on the Spurs!!!

For me it was Toby, Lamela or Eriksen maybe even rose I though goal a side Ali had a poor game by his standards he lost possession a lot first half.

Apart from the first 20 minutes or so we were clearly the better team. Good to see a well deserved win. We can push on from here and finish the season strongly even if catching Leicester is looking tough.

Agreed Alli tends to disappear in big games, but granted his age and experience can't really fault him

I thought Lamela was MOM??
On the BBC match report referred to here it had Deli as MOM.
Personally I thought it was Eriksen ahead of Lamela and Rose.
(and Toby)
Alli not even in the frame today even though his goal set up by Eriksen's vision turned the game. He's the Joker in the pack.
Looking forward to next year to see how he progresses already

Honestly, I thought Danny Rose put in the best performance for a full back I have ever seen at the lane. He was the game changer for me. I know the goal scorers and creators always catch the eye, but big up Danny boy.

I don't think he disappeared I think he just struggled to get the ball away quick enough, Man U proberly targeted him as he was closed down very fast.

I would put Danny Rose and Kyle Walker ahead of Dele Alli, but for me, MotM is Erik Lamela!

Ali struggled to have the same impact in this match because he was basically man marked by Carrick, even when he made his usual runs beyond Kane. They had clearly developed a strategy to try and negate him. Yet he still scored the opening, and by far the most important, goal. In a must win match. I would hardly call that disappearing!

And it is no coincidence that in devising a strategy to combat Ali, space was afforded to the other two AM's, Eriksen and Lamela, who were the two most obvious contenders for MOTM, in my opinion. While Carrick was off shepherding Ali, Eriksen and Lamela ran amuck between their midfield and defence.
