I think he would be a good buy for us and fit into the team. He is a top player with a good goal scoring record. He will give us something a little different as a goal poacher. We at times seemed incapable of shooting at times in good positions last season he will shot on sight and worry defenders. I believe him and Kane could form a great partnership and play off each other. Greaves/Gilzean, Archibald/Crooks, Keene/Dimi are examples. Currently we are just too predictable with Kane on his own and unfair on Kane to shoulder all the goal scoring to get us out of the shit. Roll on Little Pea and don't become a cauliflower if we sign you.

It's an interesting idea. Right now we have three strikers, two who are experienced internationals that by and large we don't trust and a kid who's had an amazing year. If one striker went then we need someone else, ideally someone with experience to ease the burden on Kane. He could do a job as back up but we're assuming Kane can repeat what he did last year and that's a big ask for a youngster.

Experience at two top clubs, I think he would be a good addition to our squad..... at the right price and wages. He certainly couldn't be any lazier than Adebayor at times! I'd prefer a punt on Berahino, who is still developing, and has played alongside Harry for England..... but why not take both if Ade and Soldado are both going?

as a Mexican American Ive been following Chica since his Guadalajara days. I truly believe he would a fantastic pick up. This notion of him being lazy couldn't be further from reality. He never stops working his way into spaces. We know he can finish but his link up play has improved over the years. As mentioned before he scored 7 in only 16 outings last year but lets not just overlook 4 assists. Bottom line is he plays his heart out, has a natural nack for finding the net and has been playing with some of the best players in the world. The supports will love his sprit and if we show him the kind of support we've shown Soldado, I can see it being an match made in Mexican Heaven. Cheers

LOL.

I remember when my gooner friend told me that his accountant (United supporter since 60's) told that Hernandez is too lazy for United and he's never going to be starter there and he'll move sooner than later. He said that after Hernandez debut season. He was so fucking right.

Reminds me of Bill Nick on Jimmy Greaves.
'All he's done today is score four goals'.

Could be a shrewd signing though I'm not holding my breath.
How much?

That all being said, as was mentioned earlier, wages could be an issue.
Unless he's had enough of being benched but how much game time will he get with us if Poch sticks to 1up front?
All hypothetical anyway as I imagine he'll prob want CL football so will go to Turkey, France, etc.
Shame though :(

Did the trick for Gary Lineker.
Agree.
And Owen was such a creative team player????
SCORING GOALS IS THE AIM OF THE GAME PEOPLE, NOT POSSESSION.
Also the hardest part. That's why strikers cost the most.
I'll take a goal scorer over a team player who brings others into the game so they can boot it into row z any day.

I would take Berahino and Batshuayi before the little pea, though any two out of those three would be a good summer.

I tell you what, you go based on what your friend of a friend said about him and I'll go based on my own opinion of watching him play numerous times for Utd, Real Madrid and Mexico.

And why isnt he playing for them now, in particular ManU who struggled for form strikers last season?

Because United had several higher profile players who would have probably thrown a hissy fit if he did would be my guess.

I'd be happy to see him sign for us personally. He scores goals regularly when played, so provides better cover than Ade or Soldudo and won't mind too much that Kane is ahead of him, as he'll get a decent run in the UEFA cup plus lower rounds of the cup.
