Last season we lost the title race in august before we had ever considered we might be in it. We matched Leicester for points from week 4 to week 34 but were still too far adrift because of that slow start.

This season we again started slowly, not helped by all the late returners from Euro 2016 - although we are on for a considerably bigger points tally potentially (we are only 2 points short of last season's tally with 7 games to go).

So the lesson is that next season we need to start stronger sooner and learn how to be front runners in the league. And the question is, would we be playing so well now if we had started the season all guns blazing, or would we be exhausted now like Liverpool?

Our only problem now is playing at Wembley, if Poch can sort that I may really start to believe.

We need to hold onto everyone in the summer as well. I'm worried about Toby and Deli the most. But to strengthen would be brilliant. Erikssen needs cover and Sissoko needs a quality replacement.

We're going to be playing around 14 teams that are there for the beating at wembley, like they were at the lane and in most cases, their own grounds.
These are bottom half barely premier league teams. Not the calibre of teams we've got this so called hoodoo from.

I don't see the foreseen problem with playing at Wembley.
We lost there when we were playing poorly anyway, with injuries etc. it wasn't because of Wembley or the size of the pitch or blah de bloody blah.
Have faith in Poch's ability, for sure he's earned that. I'm certain he's not worrying about it like some on here.

The truth is we're just a much better team than we used to be. Going to watch Watford, even without Kane, I was sure we were going to win. In years past I'd have been fearing a banana skin but this team isn't the team of years gone by. I know there are no prizes for this but I think we can be the team who gets the most points post Christmas and the team with most points over two seasons. Both impressive feats we've not done in my lifetime but neither get us a trophy.
