Spurs and Atletico Madrid are both reportedly interested in Borussia Monchengladbach defender Matthias Ginter.

The Bundesliga side will apparently only be prepared to lose the 25-year-old for €60m, according to Bild, but neither side is prepared to pay that much.

I watch quite a bit of Bundesliga due to working in Germany. I’d say Ginter is average at best. His main plus point is his versitality, he can play at centre back, full back or as a holding midfielder. May be a useful squad player, but certainly wouldn’t add anything to the first eleven

Weren't we linked with this one a year or two ago? He's always been very average.

Seems like we've had at least one weak link to this guy every summer since his last season at Freiburg in 2014. And I agree, he's very average.
