Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly now begun talks to sign Hugo Ekitike this summer. Ekitike is having somewhat of a breakthrough season with Reims in Ligue 1, where he has managed nine goals and pitch in three assists in total in the division so far (Transfermarkt).

Reminds me of a young Dele physically. Tall and skinny, good feet and plays with his head up. Obviously has potential.

I would take lots of these type of reports of these type of players with bigger punches of salt than normal. I think we will be targeting first XI ready players only this summer. They’ll be no hit and hopes.

I think we will for the main requirements like cm, cb and probably wb but for the forward line, maybe a youngster would be a good idea because it's gonna be hard and expensive to upgrade on Deki, Kane and Son.

I think we'll be looking at a mix of first teamers and potential, like Gil and Sarr.
It seems to be Paratici's remit to snaffle up some young talent on a gamble, before they blow up and are out of our bracket.

I think Paratici will definitely still look for young talents. This season we bought Romero, Kulusevski, Bentancur and Royal for the first team. But we still bought Sarr and Gil for the future.

I don't think we'll just stop buying young talents.

I am quite sure that Gil was not a planned buy for the future, in this case, I think Paratici made maybe his only mistake thus far to not factor in that Gil wasn't physically ready to play PL. Gil and Kulu are the same age and has a similar price tag, although Kulu is miles ahead of Gil atm

This season we bought … let’s see about that. We got Romero and Kulusevski on loan for a season initially so I’m not sure which budget is paying for those guys. Probably next summer’s budget with our owners. Smoke and mirrors as per usual.

I know we've been bitten before when it comes to our transfer plans. But..

We made deals that are financially manageable moving forward.

We've had ITK that has told us this summer (looks to be) different. And that Levy has never been like this before.

Let's see how it plays out, rather than troop out the old "smoke & mirrors" or "we've heard this before" lines.
