Totenham failed in a bid to sign Andre Schurrle from Chelsea before the winger joined Wolfsburg yesterday.

Didn't we enquire and were told £30M? Rather different from a failed 'bid'. Plus £30M is an outrageous price.

Yeah, Chelsea won't sell to us. They hate us as much as wet spam.

I like Schurlle though, not sure why Jose didn't....

That quote scared off Levy. They don't have to say they won't deal with us.

I was shocked by this

According to German tabloid Bild, though, Wolfsburg must pay an upfront fee of £24.2 million for Schurrle, and will then fork out an additional £25.5 million in add-ons that include agent fees, bonuses and the winger’s proposed £4.5 million-a-year wages.

So it would seem they weren't asking much more of us than they were anybody else. But I can't believe Wolfsburg could afford that much for him. I think their record fee prior to that was around 15m euro for Diego. This is double that (maybe more)

I thought I read somewhere that he went for 22 or 23 mil in the end ? No surprise that Chelsea raised the price if we were enquiring.
