Careful all who are going. No point getting involved in their winding up. Stay safe and stick together.

Jesus!! Really hope they're ok. Mail are reporting one is seriously injured after suffering 'injuries to an artery'

When are the police never mind Uefa going to stop these thugs

It's obviously hard to comment too much without knowing all the facts but these things do seem to happen an alarming amount in Rome and yet nothing happens at all.

I'm not even sure if you can expect UEFA to do anything, other than perhaps stop the Lazio fans from travelling to away games, but surely the police out there need to be better prepared for this sort of thing...it's not as if it's a rarity.

Do what they did to English teams after Heysel. Simple European ban, clubs will start taking it seriously then

It seriously cleaned up British football so why can't it work in Italy

BBC article just up:

Tottenham fans injured in clashes in Rome

A Tottenham Hotspur supporter has been seriously injured, and nine others hurt in clashes with rival fans in Rome.
Spurs are due to play Lazio in the Italian capital later in a Europa League match, and hundreds of their fans are in the city.
The Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper reported the Spurs fan was seriously injured in a bar brawl.
He is understood to have suffered a serious injury to an artery after being stabbed.
Nine of the injured fans are believed to be British and the 10th is American.
The BBC's Rome correspondent, Alan Johnston, reported that police say 30 people - armed with iron bars and with their faces covered - approached the bar where the English fans were drinking in the early hours of Thursday and fighting broke out.
Our correspondent said the bar was wrecked and five people were arrested.
All of them were Italians who the police believe to be Lazio fans.
Some Lazio supporters have in the past been associated with fascism - the club was supported by Mussolini before the war - while Tottenham have traditionally drawn support from the Jewish community.
Some Spurs fans refer to themselves as the "Yid Army", and earlier this year Peter Herbert, chairman of the Society of Black Lawyers, threatened to report them to the police.
The La Repubblica newspaper said "urban warfare" broke out at the Drunken Ship pub in the Campo de Fiori with up to 100 "Ultras" attacking Spurs fans.

I think this is a problem for the Italian society rather than for UEFA or the italian FA.
It is indeed. UEFA has no jurisdiction in the city bars/pubs. No has Italian FA. It's a criminal offense.

They'd probably need to do it on a club by club basis rather than the whole league as this level of violence does seem to mainly be rooted in Rome.

Wasn't the Italian League stopped for a fairly long period not that long ago because some football fans killed a policeman? Doesn't seem to have cleaned things up hugely.

Yeah definitely club by club, the innocent shouldn't suffer.

Tbh I think it actually needs more than this. Back in the late 80's early 90's this was a problem as well in the UK. Then Interpol came down on the police and UEFA on the FA and told them to sort it...properly. Whole police agencies were established and completely revolutionised how hooliganism was dealt with.

It's worked wonders in the UK but needs the police, fa, clubs, politicians and community leaders to create.
