2007/08 saw you bring a new manager and some silverware to White Hart Lane – which of these was least expected back in August?

The new manager. Regardless of the board's doubts about Jol, 99% of the fans were behind him and thought all was well in the dressing room.

Is Ramos the man to take Spurs forward? What are your opinions on the 6 months or so he’s had so far? Is it too early to tell?

Too early to tell. The team we put out on Sunday will be so different to the team that starts in August, so really we have to start judging him from then on. But winning a trophy already means the fans will prob give him longer to prove himself than other bosses would get.

What’ve been the three highlights of your season?

Beating Chelsea at Wembley, beating Arsenal 5-1 and... erm... possibly putting four past West Ham.

And the lows?

The league season as a whole has been disappointing (although our season effectively ended when we won the Carling Cup. Going out of the Uefa Cup on pens was a kick in the balls cos we played so well that night in Eindhoven. The whole way in which the 'Jol out and Ramos in' was handled. Nobody came out of it well, it damaged the team and Martin Jol deserved better treatment than that.

The Adebayor song has proved controversial – what’s your opinion?

You should try looking at the very long thread about that from a couple of months ago. In short, I've got no problem with it but the fans as a whole are pretty divided over it.

Getting on to our game – do you really care? Is the ‘Benidorm’ factor hitting the fans as well as the players, as there’s nothing to fight for?

At the last home game against Bolton there was a real sense of 'who cares?' around the ground. But after we played well last week, and the fact that it will be some players' last game for us, I think the fans will really want to go out on a high just to give us cause for optimism for next season - its hard to get too excited about next season while we don't know what the team is gonna look like.

Seeing what we’re charged as away fans, season tickets at the Lane must be among the most expensive in the land - are Spurs (and football in general) worth the money?

Yeah. Certainly in terms of goals per £. We're sometimes incredibly frustrating, but so are all clubs. Better to be frustrated by a 4-4 draw than a 0-0!

What’re your predictions for our game on Sunday?

1-1 written all over it.

What will you be doing this summer while the footie’s gone?

Waiting for the football to start again and trying to find out as much as possible about the players Juande brings in - cos I doubt I'll have heard of some of them.

Predict a signing (or two) for your side this summer. What areas would you like to see strengthened? Who would you like to get the chop?

We get linked with so many players its difficult to name individuals, but a GK, a replacement for Berba and a new CM will be brought in. Chimbonda can go. I'll be gutted if we let Bent go cos I think he'll come good.

Finally, what’re your hopes for next season? What can you realistically expect?

5th. But if the off-field troubles at your club carry on they may stop you from bringing in the players Rafa wants and you may have another battle on your hands for 4th. Its a battle I think you'd win, but I certainly think you and Arsenal aren't as untouchable as Andy Gray would like us to think, and ultimately if/when the big 4 is broken up, the smart money must be on us being the club who gatecrash the party.

2007/08 saw you bring a new manager and some silverware to White Hart Lane – which of these was least expected back in August? - The New Manager obviously. We always expect to win.

Is Ramos the man to take Spurs forward? What are your opinions on the 6 months or so he’s had so far? Is it too early to tell? - Well I've heard Benitez prays to his God Ramos every night asking for wisedom and guidance.

What’ve been the three highlights of your season? - Beating the Arsenal 5-1 then Chelsea 2-1 and shortly Liverpool 3-2

And the lows? - Losing Jol, Not having our new stadium confirm already, No LW and Bent's scoring record

The Adebayor song has proved controversial – what’s your opinion? - What song?

Getting on to our game – do you really care? Is the ‘Benidorm’ factor hitting the fans as well as the players, as there’s nothing to fight for? - Nah, you're going down. My mate's a Liverfool fan and I want to see him cry himself to sleep.

Seeing what we’re charged as away fans, season tickets at the Lane must be among the most expensive in the land - are Spurs (and football in general) worth the money? - Well Spurs' football is worth the money but it's a bit steep when you consider how poorly teams like Chelsea and Arsenal play against us. After winning 5-1 I wanted a 50% refund as the away team didn't pitch up at all.

What’re your predictions for our game on Sunday? 3-2 to Spurs

What will you be doing this summer while the footie’s gone? - Supporting Italia

Predict a signing (or two) for your side this summer. What areas would you like to see strengthened? Who would you like to get the chop? - A DM like Appiah or Veloso and a CB; D.Agger will do nicely thank you.

Finally, what’re your hopes for next season? What can you realistically expect? - 3rd and a Cup Final (might not win it tho). That's realistic!

Cheers

Enjoy the game dude

2007/08 saw you bring a new manager and some silverware to White Hart Lane – which of these was least expected back in August?
Manager change for sure. I think few expected such a poor start to the season and the lack of patience given to Martin.

Is Ramos the man to take Spurs forward? What are your opinions on the 6 months or so he’s had so far? Is it too early to tell?
He is the man. Proven winner. Excellent coach and master tactician. Has what it takes to dissect opponent teams and game-plan accordingly.

What’ve been the three highlights of your season?
Beating Chelsea in the CC final
Hammering Ar5ena1 in the CC semi's
Beating Man City in the CC's (a bit of a theme here)

And the lows?
Being knocked out of the UEFA on pens and the nature of Martin's demise.

The Adebayor song has proved controversial – what’s your opinion?
Overdone. Racism is unacceptable in the game but a minority will always offend.

Getting on to our game – do you really care? Is the ‘Benidorm’ factor hitting the fans as well as the players, as there’s nothing to fight for?
I care as Liverpool are 4th so a team to be toppled if we are to progress next season. I think Ramos will be looking to put a marker down in preparation for next season as we need to consistently be beating current top 4 teams in the league. Plus I want to finish top half and ahead of Wet Spam.

Seeing what we’re charged as away fans, season tickets at the Lane must be among the most expensive in the land - are Spurs (and football in general) worth the money?
We play nice football, average an obscene number of goals per game so yes I think we are worth the money.

What’re your predictions for our game on Sunday?
1-0 to the Spurs

What will you be doing this summer while the footie’s gone?
Supporting our new boy's Croatian side in the Euro's.

Predict a signing (or two) for your side this summer. What areas would you like to see strengthened? Who would you like to get the chop?

Veloso would be great as DM and Amelia as new GK, plus an experienced CB as cover to King. Outs: Chimbonda (mercenary) and a bunch of other fringe players who need to move on for everyone's sake.

Finally, what’re your hopes for next season? What can you realistically expect?
UEFA cup and top 4 finish - realistically UEFA semi's and top 6

Always happy to help out when it comes to the pool.

2007/08 saw you bring a new manager and some silverware to White Hart Lane – which of these was least expected back in August?

New Manager

Is Ramos the man to take Spurs forward? What are your opinions on the 6 months or so he’s had so far? Is it too early to tell?

He seems to have done some great work in getting the team to train properly and you can see his tactical training coming onto the pitch in every game (this was missing under Jol). He needs really to get some of his own style players in though, i think we will be able to judge him much better in September/October.

What’ve been the three highlights of your season?

In this order:

1.) Winning the CC
2.) Beating the Arsenal 5 - 1
3.) Watching Berbatov play

And the lows?

1.) The way Martin Jol left
2.) The downfall of Robinson
3.) The continuing rumours and seemingly inevitable departure of Berbatov

The Adebayor song has proved controversial – what’s your opinion?

It's not a racist song, but is highly offenssive, i don't mind a bit of banter at the games, but no need to carry on singing this song out of the stadium.

Getting on to our game – do you really care? Is the ‘Benidorm’ factor hitting the fans as well as the players, as there’s nothing to fight for?

Actually for the first team since the UEFA cup loss i am looking forward to this game: 1.) becasue we can leap frog Wet Spam into 10th and 2.) cause spurs and liverpool games are always decent games to watch

Seeing what we’re charged as away fans, season tickets at the Lane must be among the most expensive in the land - are Spurs (and football in general) worth the money?

It's kind of relative, personally i think the prices are a little steep, although my biggest problem is getting them last minute.

What’re your predictions for our game on Sunday?

A win for us like you say the game means nothing so we'll probably play one of the best games of our season. Going for 3-2.

What will you be doing this summer while the footie’s gone?

Given how many foreign players are in the prem these days probably watching the Euro's, although with less tension as England aren't there.

Predict a signing (or two) for your side this summer. What areas would you like to see strengthened? Who would you like to get the chop?

Prediction 1.) - Veloso (DM) 2.) - Kameni (GK) and sod it how about 3.) Eto'o (ST)

Most of all we need to sort out the midfield. I think all spurs fans are crying out for a hard-tackling ball winning midfielder like Gatusso.

Chop - Lee, Rocha, Chimbonda and Ghaly

Finally, what’re your hopes for next season? What can you realistically expect?

Hopes - UEFA cup win or CL qualification.

I think we can realistically expect a good run at getting that 4th spot (from Ar5ena1 of course not pool) and getting to the final of the UEFA cup.

new manager

Is Ramos the man to take Spurs forward? What are your opinions on the 6 months or so he’s had so far? Is it too early to tell?
yes, i am looking forward to the new season and what he can do with his own players and a pre-season under his belt, i think he could be the manager we have been waiting for

What’ve been the three highlights of your season?
beating the scum 5-1, wining the cup,

And the lows?
the way we the club dealt with the bmj situation, our end of season slump

The Adebayor song has proved controversial – what’s your opinion?
no worse than most other songs sang up and down the country, as spurs fans we have had to put up with years of chants about gassing the jews

Getting on to our game – do you really care? Is the ‘Benidorm’ factor hitting the fans as well as the players, as there’s nothing to fight for?
i want to go out with a decent performance, it will be intresting to see if our players can get up and ready for a "big" club

Seeing what we’re charged as away fans, season tickets at the Lane must be among the most expensive in the land - are Spurs (and football in general) worth the money?
unfortuantly football is being priced out of the reach from the general football fans, i wouldnt say spurs are that bad though, we are just a london club and therfore have to pay london prices

What’re your predictions for our game on Sunday?
2-1 to the yids

What will you be doing this summer while the footie’s gone?
reading every football website, trying to keep up with all the latest transfer gossip

Predict a signing (or two) for your side this summer. What areas would you like to see strengthened? Who would you like to get the chop?
eto'o (i can dream) but we have a few areas we need to sort out, a new keeper, left winger, defensive midfielder and possibly a new back up defender

Finally, what’re your hopes for next season? What can you realistically expect?
we will be up around the european places, (push for 4th but end up with 5th after a dodgy arsenal penalty decision gets them the point they needed) a good cup run in all 3 cups and picking up the wafer cup.

He's a Spaniard. They're a footballing pedigree.

Sacking Jol
Beating Arsenal 5-1
Winning a trophy
And the lows?

The league position
Not winning UEFA

The Adebayor song has proved controversial – what’s your opinion?

Seems like a decent person. Always seems like a nice guy in the interviews. It's a great chant though.
Getting on to our game – do you really care? Is the ‘Benidorm’ factor hitting the fans as well as the players, as there’s nothing to fight for?

Not really. Hopefully it'll be a good game of football.

Seeing what we’re charged as away fans, season tickets at the Lane must be among the most expensive in the land - are Spurs (and football in general) worth the money?

Depends on the results and how the team play. Recently no.
What’re your predictions for our game on Sunday?

I've never answered one of these before but I''ll give it a shot cos I'm bored stiff!

2007/08 saw you bring a new manager and some silverware to White Hart Lane – which of these was least expected back in August?

New manager. I though Jol would be with us for years.

Is Ramos the man to take Spurs forward? What are your opinions on the 6 months or so he’s had so far? Is it too early to tell?

I reckon he is but it's too early to tell. Good six months, good signings so far & of course the cup. Some of the cup praise goes to Jol though.

What’ve been the three highlights of your season?

Carling cup win
Beating Arsenal 5-1
Signing Woody.

And the lows?

Jol going  It was for the best but by God I loved that man.

The Adebayor song has proved controversial – what’s your opinion?

Don't like it, wish we'd sing more pro Spurs songs.

Getting on to our game – do you really care? Is the ‘Benidorm’ factor hitting the fans as well as the players, as there’s nothing to fight for?

Yeah I care, hoping to go out on a high. Plus it's probably Berba's last game in a Spurs shirt  & a win would send him off nicely!

Seeing what we’re charged as away fans, season tickets at the Lane must be among the most expensive in the land - are Spurs (and football in general) worth the money?

Yes - the amount of goals scored at WHL speaks for itself.

What’re your predictions for our game on Sunday?

3-2, Berba hattrick.

What will you be doing this summer while the footie’s gone?

Watching Modric in the finals. Oh & topping up my tan.

Predict a signing (or two) for your side this summer. What areas would you like to see strengthened? Who would you like to get the chop?

Eto'o
Idealling we need a CB & it pains me to say, a new keeper - I LOVE ROBBO

Finally, what’re your hopes for next season? What can you realistically expect?

Challenging for a top four spot & good run in all the cups, maybe a trophy or two

2007/08 saw you bring a new manager and some silverware to White Hart Lane – which of these was least expected back in August?

manager, the silverware was due

Is Ramos the man to take Spurs forward? What are your opinions on the 6 months or so he’s had so far? Is it too early to tell?

i expect he'll do. good record and all that. but aside from his personal capabilities, his appointment may have affected the way the club is run in beneficial ways. these effects are probably as important, if not more so, than his coaching.

What’ve been the three highlights of your season?

thrashing arsenal, the cup and thrashing arsenal

And the lows?

end of season dip has been disappointing. the chaos at the start was hideous. that takes in a lot of crap performances.

The Adebayor song has proved controversial – what’s your opinion?

obviously racist

Getting on to our game – do you really care? Is the ‘Benidorm’ factor hitting the fans as well as the players, as there’s nothing to fight for?

yeah, much like the silverware, we're overdue a beating of you lot and so this game holds much more interest for me than others of late. it still has cachet, and we've fared pretty well against good sides, so im optimistic. if there's any residual fear from back when you were good, id like to think of this as a chance to banish it

Seeing what we’re charged as away fans, season tickets at the Lane must be among the most expensive in the land - are Spurs (and football in general) worth the money?

dunno. what else would you spend it on? depends how much you've got. id rather watch spurs than anyone else, maybe that's the answer.

What’re your predictions for our game on Sunday?

a dull draw of some kind

What will you be doing this summer while the footie’s gone?

avoiding transfer insanity by boozing heavily in a jungle country

Predict a signing (or two) for your side this summer. What areas would you like to see strengthened? Who would you like to get the chop?

the feckin mid. names? i dunno. after the modric deal, good things seem possible again. we need a player of high quality in the centre still. at least one.

Finally, what’re your hopes for next season? What can you realistically expect?

I hope we get our shit together and threaten the top four, win the UEFA cup this time round. scare the bejeezus out of all and sundry. play great football. if summer recruitment goes well, then its realistic. if not, then we're screwed. pretty straightforward.

Haven't read any of the thread so its all my opinion

2007/08 saw you bring a new manager and some silverware to White Hart Lane – which of these was least expected back in August?

New Manager. jol was in a slump and it was stupidly drastic to get rid.

Is Ramos the man to take Spurs forward? What are your opinions on the 6 months or so he’s had so far? Is it too early to tell?

So far so good. Seems to be a master tactiction which is great but also suggests he fucked it up to begin with

What’ve been the three highlights of your season?

Keano 100 goals. Carling Cup and errrrrr modric signing.

And the lows?

Jol going. dumped out of UEFA.

The Adebayor song has proved controversial – what’s your opinion?

Worst chant ever.

Getting on to our game – do you really care? Is the ‘Benidorm’ factor hitting the fans as well as the players, as there’s nothing to fight for?

I care about newcastle going above us. shame they didn't get relegated.

Seeing what we’re charged as away fans, season tickets at the Lane must be among the most expensive in the land - are Spurs (and football in general) worth the money?

You wait until we get our new stadium. the board will be laughing all the way to the bank

What’re your predictions for our game on Sunday?

The Berbatov show. if its his last game as many suggest.

What will you be doing this summer while the footie’s gone?

Bit of gardening, few BBQ's. you?

Predict a signing (or two) for your side this summer. What areas would you like to see strengthened? Who would you like to get the chop?

Rumour Mill says a massive one is coming. i'll believe it when i see it.

Finally, what’re your hopes for next season? What can you realistically expect?

Top 5 and UEFA cup.

New Manager

Is Ramos the man to take Spurs forward? What are your opinions on the 6 months or so he’s had so far? Is it too early to tell?

Yes, intelligent observer of the game in England, in a short period of time.

What’ve been the three highlights of your season?

Beating the scum 5-1, Beating Chelski and winning the cup. Beating Liverpool on the last day of the season 5-0.

And the lows?

Martin Jol's way of departure. Not getting a commitment from Berbatov.

The Adebayor song has proved controversial – what’s your opinion?

He's a gooner, do I give a shit?

Getting on to our game – do you really care? Is the ‘Benidorm’ factor hitting the fans as well as the players, as there’s nothing to fight for?

It aways costs to watch class. You might find this out Juande.

What’re your predictions for our game on Sunday?

We will win and sing a lot and wave goodbye to Berbs with a tear in our eye.

What will you be doing this summer while the footie’s gone?

Working, unlike you lot of lazy shits.

Predict a signing (or two) for your side this summer. What areas would you like to see strengthened? Who would you like to get the chop?

Replacement for Berbs, Midfield general, aka Gatuso and bye bye Zoko.

Finally, what’re your hopes for next season? What can you realistically expect?

Top 4 will do for the league and another shiny silver thing to trot round Wembley with.

2007/08 saw you bring a new manager and some silverware to White Hart Lane – which of these was least expected back in August?

The silverware. I thought Jol was on borrowed time and the second 5th place finish just kept him with us until the inevitable happened.

Is Ramos the man to take Spurs forward? What are your opinions on the 6 months or so he’s had so far? Is it too early to tell?

Too early to tell but seems a better tactician than Jol. I’ll judge him on his first full season.

What’ve been the three highlights of your season?

Beating Chel$ki at Wembley
Beating Woolwich 5-1
4-4 against Chel$ki

And the lows?

PSV
League position
The inevitable Berbatov rumours.

The Adebayor song has proved controversial – what’s your opinion?

It’s not nice, could be construed as racist, but he’s a Gooner so it doesn’t bother me.

Getting on to our game – do you really care? Is the ‘Benidorm’ factor hitting the fans as well as the players, as there’s nothing to fight for?

Yes I care 3 points could see us finish in the top ten above Wham!

Seeing what we’re charged as away fans, season tickets at the Lane must be among the most expensive in the land - are Spurs (and football in general) worth the money?

It’s Spurs “We’re worth it”

What’re your predictions for our game on Sunday?

3-1 Spurs Berbatov hat trick then he’ll sign a 5 year extension to his contract on the pitch.

What will you be doing this summer while the footie’s gone?

Hibernating.

Predict a signing (or two) for your side this summer. What areas would you like to see strengthened? Who would you like to get the chop?

Never predict signings but Eto’o would be nice. Strengthen centre defence & centre midfield.

Finally, what’re your hopes for next season? What can you realistically expect?

Another trophy F A or Uefa would be nice. A good start & beating the teams that I always think we should beat & getting a few scraps from the top 4.

2007/08 saw you bring a new manager and some silverware to White Hart Lane – which of these was least expected back in August?

A new manager to be honest. I wasn't expecting Jol to be sacked by October - I doubt any spurs fans did.

Is Ramos the man to take Spurs forward? What are your opinions on the 6 months or so he’s had so far? Is it too early to tell?

Yes. I have been delighted with the teams progression since his arrival and I perceive great things in the future ;)

What’ve been the three highlights of your season?

Cup final, beating Arsenal 5-1 and being 3-1 down at home to Che;lsea and bringing it back to 4-4 - the best game I've been to in years!

And the lows?

Going out to PSV on penalties. Tevez's equalisier in the 94th minute and the imminent departure of Berbatov.

The Adebayor song has proved controversial – what’s your opinion?

The song is a shit one although not racist imo. People who sing it I associate with the inbreed, knuckle dragging football fan who support most clubs.

Getting on to our game – do you really care? Is the ‘Benidorm’ factor hitting the fans as well as the players, as there’s nothing to fight for?

Beating a top 4 team and finishing ahead of west ham is an incentive worth pursuing imo.

Seeing what we’re charged as away fans, season tickets at the Lane must be among the most expensive in the land - are Spurs (and football in general) worth the money?

Definitely worth the money. Although it is all relative.

What’re your predictions for our game on Sunday?

A 2-1 Spurs win as Benitez doesn't take meaningless games too seriously.

What will you be doing this summer while the footie’s gone?

Playing and coaching football and traveling.

Predict a signing (or two) for your side this summer. What areas would you like to see strengthened? Who would you like to get the chop?

A new goalie and DCM are essential signings imo. Followed by Ronaldinho, Kaka and Messi ldo.
Finally, what’re your hopes for next season? What can you realistically expect?

Challenging 4th all the way (and maybe nicking it!) along with a cup would be a great season. A cup alone would be nice

2007/08 saw you bring a new manager and some silverware to White Hart Lane – which of these was least expected back in August?

new manager for sure, at the start of the season we were optimistic and thought we had a slim chance at 4th, with 5th-6th more likely, but the Sunderland game showed we were never going to make a run at 4th, but no one thought we would go on such a bad run that would result in Jol losing his job

Is Ramos the man to take Spurs forward? What are your opinions on the 6 months or so he’s had so far? Is it too early to tell?

in the 6 months so far, it is clear that Ramos is not afraid to make big changes during a game, where as Jol has been guilty of letting the game pass him by. We seem a fitter team and I am sure that we will not make another slow start to the season, which has happened under Jol the last couple seasons. The Ramos factor helped in the signing of Modric and I feel with him at the helm, we may be able to get players that would not normally come to us, another plus, so yes I think he can take us forward, but it is not going to be easy to brake the stranglehold of the top 4

What’ve been the three highlights of your season?

1. Carling cup win over Chelski
2. 5-1 over the Arse
3.The Arse winning NOTHING and now losing Flamini on a free

And the lows?

without a doubt the UEFA Cup defeat on penalties, we were that close to going through which we would have deserved

and the poor results at the start of the season, resulted in Jol getting replaced which was another low, even though we got a manager that was a step up

The Adebayor song has proved controversial – what’s your opinion?

wouldn't sing it if I was at a game, don't like it, would rather sing about our players than the oposition

Getting on to our game – do you really care? Is the ‘Benidorm’ factor hitting the fans as well as the players, as there’s nothing to fight for?

always good to end on a positive note, we have that to play for and a chance at finishing higher than the spam

Seeing what we’re charged as away fans, season tickets at the Lane must be among the most expensive in the land - are Spurs (and football in general) worth the money?

overpriced for sure, though I think more goals at WHL than any other ground this season, so you do normally get your moneys worth

What’re your predictions for our game on Sunday?

2-1 to Spurs, we would want to finish on a high

What will you be doing this summer while the footie’s gone?

watching Euro and Modric and hopefully more signings

Predict a signing (or two) for your side this summer. What areas would you like to see strengthened? Who would you like to get the chop?

a new GK ( like Neuer ) and a top DM, another left sided midfielder would be good and a replacement for Berba if he goes. Now that it looks like Kaboul is finished at Spurs, we may need to buy another CD

Finally, what’re your hopes for next season? What can you realistically expect?

slim chance at 4th, we need to make a good start for that, probably 5th-6th though with good cup runs, want us to go further in the UEFA Cup, at least to the semi's

2007/08 saw you bring a new manager and some silverware to White Hart Lane – which of these was least expected back in August?

The manager. I always think we're gonna win a trophy.

Is Ramos the man to take Spurs forward? What are your opinions on the 6 months or so he’s had so far? Is it too early to tell?

Yeah, I think so. Since the CC he's been holding back a bit in my opinion. Next season will be the real acid test.

What’ve been the three highlights of your season?

Beating the Scum 5-1 on the way to lifting the CC.
Keano hitting 100.
Signing Woodgate, he's fucking world class.

And the lows?

Jol going, with Ramos' subsequent assessment of the squad revealing the lie on which Jol was pressured and axed. This team wasn't ever gonna be good enough for the top 4.
Our piss-poor league position.
Lack of commitment from some players.

The Adebayor song has proved controversial – what’s your opinion?

It's racist in a casual way. And funny. What can you do?

Getting on to our game – do you really care? Is the ‘Benidorm’ factor hitting the fans as well as the players, as there’s nothing to fight for?

I care. I hate you bin-dippers.

Seeing what we’re charged as away fans, season tickets at the Lane must be among the most expensive in the land - are Spurs (and football in general) worth the money?

Probably not.

What’re your predictions for our game on Sunday?

15-0 to us. Berbatov will score the lot and comfortably win me the bet I made at the start of the season that he would outscore Torres in the league.

What will you be doing this summer while the footie’s gone?

Getting wasted I imagine. Supporting Portugal in the Euros, where Cristiano Ronaldo will be prove he's the greatest player on the European stage.

Predict a signing (or two) for your side this summer. What areas would you like to see strengthened? Who would you like to get the chop?

We'll definitely get a GK, no idea who. One or two DMs, Diarra's probably the most realistic name linked. A left footer to compliment Bale. I'd like Riise from your lot. Can't believe Benitez is making noises about selling him. I think Zokora may go.

Finally, what’re your hopes for next season? What can you realistically expect?

One trophy or another, Ramos has got the touch and the mentality to get us over the finishing line. A decent challenge for top 4. Probably end up 5th.

2007/08 saw you bring a new manager and some silverware to White Hart Lane – which of these was least expected back in August?

Changing manager.
Is Ramos the man to take Spurs forward? What are your opinions on the 6 months or so he’s had so far? Is it too early to tell?

A little too early to tell. He’s clearly got something about him, and the team’s performances in the first few months seemed to pick up considerably, but then again you would expect that from a new manager. I like the way Ramos is prepared to take risks when things aren’t working out - he’ll inevitably get it wrong once in a while but I don’t mind that – he seems to get it right more often than not. He seems tactically astute – he out-thought Wenger in all three matches we played under him against that lot down the road and we were unlucky not to beat them twice at their place, same with Chelsea in the CC and Man Utd at home. My only slight doubt has been the performances of the team since the CC win. It’s quite probably he’ll be making changes in the summer and the players know it so they aren’t bothering but equally there might be a motivational problem there. Keeping an open mind to see what changes he makes and how we perform next year.
What’ve been the three highlights of your season?

Winning the CC, thrashing Ar5ena1 on the way – and coming back from 4-1 down to Villa to win 4-4 (morally) in our 125 Anniversary game. A great night (if not a great game of football) and so typically Spurs – it was rather fitting, given the occasion,And the lows?

The manner in which the board removed Jol.
Losing home and away to Birmingham – again typically Spurs
Abysmal display at home to Newcastle
The Adebayor song has proved controversial – what’s your opinion?

It makes me shudder when I hear it sung. I hope it dies out soon.Getting on to our game – do you really care? Is the ‘Benidorm’ factor hitting the fans as well as the players, as there’s nothing to fight for?

I think most fans would just like this season over now. It really has been the proverbial rollercoaster ride. I was a huge fan of Jol and disappointed to see him go but we have Ramos now and I’m eager to see him stamp his own mark on the team and start pushing us forward again. It feels like we’re in limbo to a certain extent, waiting for it all to happen. That said, I hope in future Ramos instills in the players / buys the kind of players that always think there’s something to fight for, regardless of what stage the season is in. It’s the least the fans deserve considering they still have to stump up full price on the tickets. It’s the only attitude that will consistently win us things in the future as well.
Seeing what we’re charged as away fans, season tickets at the Lane must be among the most expensive in the land - are Spurs (and football in general) worth the money?

I don’t think we can be too disappointed with the entertainment value we’ve had at the Lane this season (just look at the amount of goals we’ve seen there) and there’s been some great, exciting games to watch (if not necessarily the best football at times). The stadium plays a big part in the ticket prices problem – our capacity is woefully inadequate for the amount of support the club has so they can charge what they like really – and I think we’ve just come to accept the prices charged as the cost of watching football these days. With a possible recession looming though, it does worry me the genuine fans are getting priced out of the game.
What’re your predictions for our game on Sunday?
1-1. To be honest, as long as we get a chance to give Berba a great send off, that’ll be fine with me.What will you be doing this summer while the footie’s gone?

Awaiting the birth of my daughter and trying not to read ITK posts!

Predict a signing (or two) for your side this summer. What areas would you like to see strengthened? Who would you like to get the chop?

I’m just going to trust in Ramos to do what he needs to do to push us forward and I trust the board to back him.
Finally, what’re your hopes for next season? What can you realistically expect?

A return to the steady progress of recent years would be fine with me for next season. With a new regime in place and some player changes likely in the summer, I don’t think we can realistically expect to challenge the top four next season but I’d like to see us finish best of the rest in the league, qualify for the UEFA cup again next season and hopefully win a cup of some sort.

Hello there - apologies if this is in the wrong place, but it seemed the most appropriate.

I've popped over from a website called RAWK (Red and White Kop) which, as you can probably guess, is a Liverpool site.

We run a regular feature previewing upcoming matches and like to visit opposing sites to gain an inside view on our opponents. With this in mind, I'd be greatly obliged if any of you could answer all/some of the below for me, to be included in our 'Spyin' Kop' feature.

Cheers muchly :)

2007/08 saw you bring a new manager and some silverware to White Hart Lane – which of these was least expected back in August? a new manager

Is Ramos the man to take Spurs forward? What are your opinions on the 6 months or so he’s had so far? Is it too early to tell? still have to wait and see! could be the one to take us forward if he gets the players he wants

What’ve been the three highlights of your season? Winning the Cup

And the lows? how Jol was treated

The Adebayor song has proved controversial – what’s your opinion? its a crap song anyway

Getting on to our game – do you really care? Is the ‘Benidorm’ factor hitting the fans as well as the players, as there’s nothing to fight for? nothing to play for, could be an open game or just an end of season knockabout... my bet would be the 2nd one

Seeing what we’re charged as away fans, season tickets at the Lane must be among the most expensive in the land - are Spurs (and football in general) worth the money? if it came with free health insurance, yes  we are entertaining most the time

What’re your predictions for our game on Sunday? really depends on what both teams decide to do, strong line ups or giving youth a chance... can see liverpool giving other players more of a chance so i say a spurs win.. 1-0 or 2-1

What will you be doing this summer while the footie’s gone? watching euro 2008 and other sports

Predict a signing (or two) for your side this summer. What areas would you like to see strengthened? Who would you like to get the chop? we need a defender, defensive midfielder and a striker, and a keeper also. Can see some of the squad players going, gardner stalteri ghaly also going.

Finally, what’re your hopes for next season? What can you realistically expect? push the top 4 again for a CL spot (or at least safly get 5th) and again try and get to a final or 2 in cups (and win at least one)

2007/08 saw you bring a new manager and some silverware to White Hart Lane – which of these was least expected back in August?

The manager definately. We were expected to do well back in August so the silverware is no surprise from that perspective.

Is Ramos the man to take Spurs forward? What are your opinions on the 6 months or so he’s had so far? Is it too early to tell?

From initial signs I would say he is definately the man to take us forward. Not just anyone could've turned the club around from a laughing stock to cup winners in a couple of months.

What’ve been the three highlights of your season?

1. Winning the Carling Cup
2. Beating Arsenal 5-1 in the semi of that cup
3. Getting Modric ahead of Newcastle!

And the lows?

1. Late goals costing us points e.g. Liverpool away
2. Losing to Arsenal home and away. Away hurts more as we were the much better side.
3. League form in general.

The Adebayor song has proved controversial – what’s your opinion?

Personally, I dont care about it. I do refuse to join in when people are singing it however.

Getting on to our game – do you really care? Is the ‘Benidorm’ factor hitting the fans as well as the players, as there’s nothing to fight for?

This is the first game against a big club in a long time, so I do care about this one. We have had nothing to play for since mid march, but Ive still wanted to beat Liverpool all that time!

Seeing what we’re charged as away fans, season tickets at the Lane must be among the most expensive in the land - are Spurs (and football in general) worth the money?

If you compare the entertainment value compared to other premier league clubs then yes, Spurs are definately worth the money. However, I feel all of football is overpriced in general so its a mixed one really.

What’re your predictions for our game on Sunday?

3-1 Spurs. Keano hattrick.

What will you be doing this summer while the footie’s gone?

Goading all the Liverpool fans with the fact that we're gonna get their champions league spot next season! :shake:

Predict a signing (or two) for your side this summer. What areas would you like to see strengthened? Who would you like to get the chop?

Etoo and Villa would be awesome. We still need to get a midfield general, and I want Chimbonda out after his revelations in the press a few months back.

Finally, what’re your hopes for next season? What can you realistically expect?

My hopes are the same as always: to do the double! Realistically though, I feel top 4 is a priority. A cup or two would be nice as well!

Thanks for all the replies, chaps - loads more than I was expecting - shall try to include as many as possible in the final piece (along with a few from COYS as one of the RAWK resident Spurs fans put it on there for me too).

Cheers, and all the best
