iirc, they have gone over there to push themselves to train in the heat. perhaps (for example) that could give them advantageous temperature regulation when they are warmed up during a match when they get back here? (I'm no expert) but I highly doubt it's designed as a jolly..

It's quite warm there now, comparable to English summer. Booze won't be too much of a problem as it's only really in hotels you can get pissed, it's illegal everywhere else (apart from an inexplicable Irish pub in the middle of town that everyone seems to ignore) Keep them holed up in a big resort and HR can keep an eye on them. I would think they're in Jebel Ali which has a large resort with excellent sports facilities.

Who says theyre there for a holiday. They might train as hard as ever for a few days there. Im sure Redknapp knows what he is doing. According to Jenas or Pienaars twitter(dont remember who) it was: Back to work again. So seems theyre not there for a holiday!
