Any Spurs fans in the greater Denver, CO area? I tried the link to coloradospurs earlier and the website is gone. I work abroad, but I would love some like-minded company to watch the boys play

Spurs in Raleigh/Durham. Duke just got rid of cable in our rooms so either I have to watch the game in our cafeteria place or in my bed with a stream. Wish I was back in England to go to the Lane, last match I went to (besides Bilbao) was the AC Milan match - but that meant no beach/booze Spring Break. Worth it, sort of.

Spring break is definitely worth it. If possible find a bar that shows footie, there is nothing finer than a bar full of Americans looking puzzled (& somewhat scared) at the frantic responses of a Tottenham fan.

Tell me about it. I came to the US with a decent British accent after living in Britain for 18 years, and was labelled Australian. And then my accent has been dying a slow death over the last 3 years, so I go back to England and I am labelled Australian by the English.... I should probably move to Australia to be labelled English.

:lol: I know exactly how you guys feel. One time an Australian friend and we got chatting to some girls. They assumed I was Australian and my friend was English, to this day we still don't know who was more insulted.

Unfortuantly many of the Yanks all think we should speak like Marster Piece Theerter!!
When they here a slight dialect change then they assume its aussie! I have been accused of being aus for so long now that I still feel insulted and have a little jibe..

:lol: I haven't helped with this stereotype that Brits love master piece theatre (and anything associated with PBS). I was flicking around channels when I landed on PBS and screamed out "Outnumbered's on!" No one else in the room could understand why I was so excited.
Several times PBS has been on and I've been able to tell what program it was within seconds. None of my house mates were impressed with the fact that I knew what Return to Cranford was.
