In a recent report from The Sun, it was mentioned that Tottenham Hotspur are looking to sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic of Lazio. It is understood that Manchester United have been in pursuit of the midfield ace but Spurs have offered to pay an initial fee of £38 million and £13 million in add-ons which sums up to a £51 million transfer package, an offer that the Italian outfit would not be able to refuse.

The Sun reports that Spurs 'are readying a bid worth £51m for the burly 6ft 2in ace'. Not that they 'have offered to pay..."

I think they've jumped the gun here a little. It's also a two day old article in the Sun, so even that isn't new news.

Would love this to be true but doubt it for many reasons.

I mean this is clearly just bollocks. “An offer [they] would not be able to refuse” my arse.

This is like one of those automated Ukranian military alerts - and where the all clear has just been given.

It's not from the Sun though, it's the Sun reporting what 'Calciomercato' are saying.
I do not have a view on Calciomercato.
Quite a few figures being thrown around if it is totally made up, though.

Ironically the Sun are reporting that no bid has been made, but that we are 'readying a bid' which might be another way of saying that he remains on our watchlist and we might make a move if the circumstances are right.

It's 'The 4th Official' that have embellished it by saying the bid has gone in.
