Thought I'd kick off the first country thread in this shiny new forum.

There are plenty of us Spurs Fans here in Malaysia. From the base of Johor up to the island of Langkawi and over to the tip of Mount Kinabalu in Sabah.

As I understand it, there are regular meets in Desa Sri Hartamas (maybe at 'Home & Away' or 'SOULed Out') to watch games - although I've not ever been.

We also have an internet forum. However, I've lost the blooming url.

Perhaps, on reflection, I'm not the best person to have started this thread. So hopefully people like Brakefluid, Masterblaster80, et al can chip in with some good stuff about meets/Malaysian chat/tours/other forums/links etc, so that this thread can be the biggest and best in this lovely new forum.

After all...

Malaysia Boleh!

Nice one Bill,

I know of the Spurs Fan club around the Klang Valley, however i have no idea whether its official (i think not).

Other than that, SC remains to be my only link to other Spurs fans.

Sad aint it?

It doesn't have to be official, it just has to be. The original point was to provide a network for people to use when they're travelling overseas, but it could equally be used to help bring people together who are in a country but otherwise unaware of each other. Be nice to get the address of that internet forum though, wouldn't it?

No problem, the Spurs Fan Club is OFFICIAL as of this year. It took us awhile to get it started officially due to administrative issues.

Very wide and diverse range of fans in the club going all the way to ones that go back to the Greaves era to the Ardilles/Hoddle era.

So, the point is that fans abound in the KL area. Activities include general bashing up of Arsenal fans (haha) and greeting all Chelscum fans with wads of fake roubles and also footie.

BY THE WAY B_O how come u havent been to a single activity yet?

I have the url here, webbie a bit slow most days as most members work off e-mail groups rather than off the webbie:

http://www.spurstalk.proboards40.com/index.cgi

Also have information of an unofficial Indonesian site. Will post details here later

Yup same bunch, I think. I have a small problem in that I have not been to any of the games due the fact that I am currently resident in Thailand until next month and then will be participating with them haha

A damn fine question. I was seriously on the verge of coming to a couple of the meets last season to watch a game, but Mont Kiara/Hartamas is a big schlep for a bloke with no car at 3am!

Also, having recently had a kid, my social calendar has taken a bit of a hit.

Having said that, the missus leaves town (with baby of course) on Tuesday. Have you got any plans where to watch our 1st game of the season?

Let me know if so. Otherwise, if you and the guys want me to have a word with a bar in town, I'm sure they'll set us up nicely.

So Bill, having read the introductory message you'll know that the mods are supposed to move the links in to the first post in the thread for ease of access for members.

or is it the other way around?
a) I'm broke as a joke

b) It's for a mates wedding, so I'm just going for that. I already take more than 12 weeks a year holiday, and this is a really busy time for us. I can't take the piss.

Will only be in Malaysia for good from end August onwards. If you guys want, I can pass you some phone numbers or if you want, or alternatively please pm me your e-mail addresses that you dont mind being a little busy with local messages for activities.

Ray:

If you want, think they have a scheduled game of futsal coming up as well if you want me to put you in touch with the Malaysian Spurs Fan Club
