That looks a a little unbalanced if you ask me, considering our centre backs were practically spectators.

Ade MOM, Saha and Modric also excellent. Niko was very good to...doing ratings later.

Defenders had about 3 mins of defending to do all game, so for me our CBs wern't tested whatsoever. Walker and Ekotto contributed plenty going forward though, and the latter was very good.

They were certainly under-employed compared to Monday, but nothing got past them. The only blip was a minor one, Dawson launching one of those long diagonal balls of his. I don't mind them, it's just that I wish he'd check there was one of our players within ten yards.

Ade was unplayable during the first half, and still had a positive influance in the second despite often having Newcastle double and triple up against him.

Was very impressed with Saha also, him and Ade could turn out to be one hell of a partnership for us.

While I voted for Ade rightfully, few have mentioned Dawson and King. The reason to do so is due to how many people wanted Ba/Cisse during the window and how well our CB pairing owned them. Made em look pedestrian.
