We had Sentanta last season, but Tottenham were only on a few times, so my dad decided to cancel it at the end of the season as it appeared to be a waste of money overall. They instead tried to get him to pay £5 per month instead of £10, but he still decided to cancel his subscription altogether. It nows appears that we may have made a bit of a mistake...

Tottenham v Aston Villa is obviously on Sentanta on Monday night, as is Tottenham v Liverpool (although we're going to that), and all the England games now. That still didn't really make us reconsider, but as I watching the England game last night (on Sentanta via a stream), I saw an advert for Tottenham v Wisla Krakow on Sentanta. Now that game isn't a problem for me as I'm going to it, but my dad's not, and we both assumed it would still be on ITV, with our away games being on Five, like last season.

Does anyone know what Tottenham games are going to be on Sentanta now? All our home UEFA Cup games? All our home and away UEFA Cup games? We're just trying to figure out whether it's worth subscribing again, and if we do, we might as well do it before the Villa game on Monday. Thanks!

Gotta have all the footah channels. I even have Hispanic ones, let alone Prem based and Cup based ones.

It is probably why I am so frustrated with Spurs after watching so many balanced teams play day in day out!

"Ohhh, they can cross. Ohhh they can defend in the middle. Oh the have a left winger....Oh the players have been with each other for years and have gelled"

Thanks. I've only managed to find out that those three games are on Setanta. I don't know about our future UEFA Cup games. I'd have thought that they'd all be on the same channel, but they may not be.

http://83.245.38.234/en/UK/News/Spurs-UEFA-Cup-bow-to-be-broadcast-on-Setanta/

That only says that our home game against Wisla Krakow will be on Setanta. Doesn't mention any future UEFA Cup games.

I'll do my best to get some info from the peeps at Setanta next door but I don't think even tehy know what games they will have rights to until after Christmas.

Spurs should disassociate themselves with Satanta... its a con.

What they did with the England game has/will back fire on them IMO.

The European games should be shown on terrestrial TV as we supporters are already paying far to much money to watch games....what a disgrace football has becoming. It has marketed itself for financial gain over Joe public and its about time the government got involved to bring football back to the general public.

Thanks dude. I would like us to have it just so we don't have to watch it on a stream or try and find some awful pub with it , so I'd like to convince him to get it again (without me paying for it ).

Get Virgin... you get it as part of the standard package

We have Sky HD, so no.

Hi double 0 :)- spurs disassociate themselves from moneymaking - are you sure ;-)

I'm sure I read that Setanta paid £5m for the England game - £5m!!!!!!!!!!!!! - it's bloody incredible - now of course we won't get that for Krakow - but any slice of that kinda pie is gonna have the board ready to tuck in

I would suggest investing in a motorised dish. Then you can adjust the angle to pick up foreign channels too for free and quite often in HD.

When I booked up Sentanta they caused me alot of problems, as when i tried to cancel it as there was f all on it they told me i couldnt do it by phone and had to send a letter, so i duely sent the letter and they then tried to take more money out of my bank account for the next month which i stopped through the bank, i then recieved a letter saying that refusal to pay would end up with blah blah, so i rang them up again shouted at the guy on the end of the phone (even tho it werent his fault) and they finally stopped hassling me, tbh id never book em up again after that struggle

Its about time they got Internet TV off the ground. I know that both Microsoft and Sony want to bring it to Xbox 360 and PS3 soon (Play TV might already be out actually.) That way you could get a whole lot more channels across the globe and most Channels are free. I tried one of the Internet TV programs a couple of years back but the picture was aweful. Not sure if its improved much since then though.

PlayTV is out on the 19th

It's only local freeview though so I'm not sure where you got the worldwide connection from.

It does have HD output though.

Well actually, I didn't say in the first post, but when my dad tried to cancel, they offered it to him at £5 instead of £10, but he refused and said he still just wanted to cancel, and he thought they'd cancelled his subscription by the end of the phone call. However, he later received a letter stating that he was still subscribed, but was now paying the reduced fee of £5 per month... so he wasn't very happy about that at all, having to call them again and try and make sure that they actually cancelled his subscription this time. Rather poor of them.

Oh yeah! I forgot about that! The 19th of September?? I'll have to get it!

It's just freeview with the capability to record, so like Sky+ but freeview, right?

Is it? Cheers for that. I have a PS3 but i have to admit that i dont know much at all about Play TV. I read some time ago though that Microsoft were planning to go into an Internet based TV service, but it was only slated for the US at the time. Haven't heard much else since then. Its supposed to be the next big thing together with Movie Downloads.
