A lot of first team players are out, at least Poch can see the younger players play more. :)

These matches aren't pointless. I'm incredibly intrigued to see an attacking front of Townsend (traditional LW), Eriksen and Lamela could work behind Soldado/Kane. That'll be what I'm looking towards more than anything. Our season outlook/hopes might really hinge upon that group of 4 coming together.
Could not agree more. I dont know Townsends ability really to hit a across from the left, cause cant remember any from last season.. But it just seems to have a LW that could kick a cross in, soldado upfront kickin them in, cause thats the service he thrives on.. Lamela that can drift in from right side and drag defenders from their positions.. seems like a perfect setup..

Just want Yarmolenko more than Townsend, but that's another story...

Townsend is very much two footed, can cross/shoot on both sides fine.

Yeah, I actually think his crossing ability has the potential to be pretty darn special. His biggest impediment from becoming a good player is his decision making ability. Unfortunately, that's a huge part of being a good footballer.

I fail to see why if a player shoots on sight rather than passing or cutting back regularly, he's is not dropped by the manager after 20 games or so of doing that.

Of course asssuming the player is being coached, then maybe the manager is telling how to play.

At QPR and loads of other loan clubs that was not a problem. At AVb's previous clubs such as Porto the RW was always being accused of being self cetntered and shooting on sight. Recogmise the problem ?

So Townsend is being blamed for an incompetent manager's tactics called AVB - no wonder AVB was sacked by both Chelsea and Spurs. Shame some AVB fans fail to understand fail to understand that and blame players rather than the manager

Snarf I'm sorry to say your last post was a disgrace ! You are better than that

Lamela's been in lots of pics. Ceballos' insta. Falque someone on twitter seems certain he's travelled but that one might not be true.

In lots of pics - but not in the US, Equally Sandro and Chirches - that's why the squad I put up was those named on OS as having travelled to the US

Great news he is there - just surprised OS didn't capture his picture as being in the US along with the others who travelled
